agree, Fournette realistically was the outlier (although obviously a great #7).

When I think #7 tho I think of Pat Pete and Honey Badger.

Maybe make #7 the best DB for defense, for offense can be best RB/WR.

The best player from Louisiana is dumb imo. #18 is the leadership number with deeper meaning. #7 at LSU should be balling. Not a LT that wears a decal

This strange thing to post anyways when the current #7 is going to be a top 5 pick.

The current 7 is part of the cleansing of the tradition since it changed meaning.

DJ Chark was good.

I'll give you Chark.

Delpit was fine, just not as good as his sophomore year.

So a down year while wearing it. Point for me.

Chase & Stingley years were weird because of covid and injuries.

2 number 7s that didn't live up to it. Not playing and not playing through minor injury is kind of the issue. The number became about the individual being more important than the team.

Giles was the only real mistake imo

Huge mistake.

Jacoby Stevens also had a down year in 2020 compared to hi 2019 campaign.

And Boutte wore it in 2022 and DEFINITELY had a down year.

My point is proven. All but one number 7 (Chark) played worse (or not at all) the year they wore the number than the years leading up to it. Then BK changed the meaning and gave it to an OL and the number has been cleansed.
