Wilbon wrote an article earlier this year saying that analytics are racist. That tells you everything about the man.

The OP's quote is not accurate. Wilbon hates the SEC, but he acutally said bama and Florida should tell LSU and Mr Alleve can go to hell, referring to schedule changes that would require Georgia and Bama to alter their schedules. Wilbon is totally misinformed but the OP really screwed it up. I recorded the episode and it was clear what Wilbon said.

Exactly, I watched the segment on YouTube (thanks to the link posted above). C'mon guys, you are allowing yourselves to be emotionally compromised by the circus. It's PTI, for crying out loud - that's their purpose! To stir people up. You DO understand how much $$$$$ is filling the coffers of LSU and all the other SEC schools, courtesy of ESPN and the SEC Network, don't you???

So maybe ESPN ideally wants Alabama and Florida to play for the SEC Crown as often as possible, and why not? Look at the short history of the SEC (and all the championship games), and look at the revenue scaling. CBS pays ESPN $55 million for the 3:30 slot on Saturday, alone! Think about THAT, the next time you watch a near 5 hour game on CBS.

All the world's a stage, to quote Shakespeare! Every great story has a protagonist and an antagonist, and that's all ESPN is doing...weaving a story around the richest college football conference in America. So what if we are the bad guys? LSU still gets paid their cut every year, and that keeps all our college sports going - gives back to the University, the community, and so forth.

These are the things I keep in mind, when I tune in to the "greatest show on college football".

No anger, all lulz now.

Hell, who wants to be the good guy? We all know the bad guys hit it more.

Well, your dad should have told your mom to swallow. Does that make me any less of an a-hole for saying that your dad should have told her?

Give Wilbon some love. He is in morning because Tiger Woods, and RG III disappointed in their attempts at a comeback. He hardly has any reason to live.

I have a bigger problem with this narrative. LSU wasn't insensitive in their handling of this matter. And one only needs to look back to 2005 to find an example of how to handle the exact scenario Florida was faced with this year.

What was really shameful was Foley insisting, until Thursday, that the LSU players and coaches fly into potential tropical storm conditions.

I love that. Telling people that know about natural disasters how we should act. Maybe the people that know about natural disasters are the ones acting appropriately and the ones that don't, the National media, should shut their mouths.

With all that said, I definitely agree with the posters saying the only time to watch espn is when a game is on. The rest of the time is espn pushing their agenda and opinions.

I turned espn off after bounty gate.

Me too. It often comes from people who are not in hurricane prone areas and I assume have no experience with them. Doesn't seem appropriate for them to be directing people in Louisiana on how to feel about areas hit by hurricanes.
