Football teams do not stay in their dorms/apartments/houses the night before a game. Would kinda make bed checks at curfew difficult.

Burrow stayed at his place and would show up to lod cook to start his day by eating breakfast

Breakfast is definitely good there but as someone said, LC is far from a luxury hotel. You are paying for a Hampton Inn decked out in purple and gold and LSU pictures.

Saban and the team use to stay in Gonzales at what is now the Clarion Inn.

The team would stay there back to the DiNardo days.

Is this a summer thing? Didn't know the athletic dorms closed.

Are you an Aggie?

I can't believe this question.

It was dumb from the beginning. Too many distractions, and it takes valuable rooms away from donors, parents and alumni.

Maybe I can get a room there now. I will say, stayed there for a few games and the guys have the place figured out. There are chicks up and down the stairs all night.

When we go to the LSU-OMiss game in Oxfart, we always stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Tupelo. OMiss' team has been at that hotel on Friday night every time we stayed there.

CBK should take our team to the Best Western in St Francisville to get away from game people.

Not in 2003. They were at Lod Cook back then.

Maybe Lod cook is too close to the action. Too many distractions for the players

I think this is the answer. It always struck me as odd when we stayed at Lod Cook and the players would be riding the elevators with us to get to their rooms. They are constantly having to deal with distracting conversations and annoying (albeit innocent) questions like, "are we ready?" or "are you guys going to really slaughter them tomorrow?". It is full of distractions.
(maybe worse than them just staying in their dorm rooms/apartments).

I don't care where they stay but in which BR hotel are they not going to have to deal with this on a game weekend?

Do we even know if Kelly will have them stay at a hotel? Just get the prep work done on Friday and let them stay at the dorms / apartments.

This is sarcasm.
It's a damn shame that you have to explain it.

Letting them sleep at their own apartments creates more of a possibility for distractions. Almost every major football team stays at a hotel the night before a home game.

I think the chance of distractions in the dorms is pretty diminished if you have a well disciplined team (I know, I know). The calculus probably includes keeping a regular schedule that mimics away games and the like. I just wonder if that balances out againt the extra off time and not having to pack for an overnight for all but 5 weeks a year.

If the team is there on weekends then the rooms aren’t available to rent to Alumni at ridiculous rates.
