Why the hate for Mingione?

I agree that he comes off as fake and slimy, but I’ve seen numerous people call him a POS and wondering what the backstory is on that

Did you see the way his team behaved the last time they were at the box. Direct reflection of their coach. So happy Beat told that pitcher to frick off

He comes from the John Cohen (former Miss. St HC; current Auburn AD) coaching tree. Cohen did a lot of chickenshit gamesmanship things at MSU that pissed off opposing coaches. Mingione picked up those traits and cemented himself near the top of the LSU hate list when he purposely interfered in an LSU defensive play by trying to distract/trick LSU's fielders during the play.
Instead of acknowledging being a DB and accepting that role, he basically takes a holier than thou approach to anyone who criticizes him.
