He’s done some good in this offseason. I’m not one who will take away from his accomplishments just because I didn’t want him as HC.

But these things also have to translate into success. He’s essentially going into his 3rd year (I count the interim because he was able to make command decisions during that time too), and it’s time for his work to pay off.

Like you did with Les? Calling him a disaster when he accomplished more than any football coach LSU has ever had?

Looks like he painted himself into a corner.

I support Les till he wasnt the coach anymore. I was at the farewell game against TAM and I cheered my arse off for Les, not that I wanted him to stay but out of respect for him as a man. Les as a coach I feel different about.

I love this.

When those of us who raged against this shitty hire talked about his shitty head coaching resume, arse clowns ran around counting his interim gigs at SC and LSU to attempt to make his resume seem less horrendous.

NOW these same dick holes will stand here and say that his interim time does not count.

Beautiful...just beautiful.

Sure it’s debatable, but Ed knew this wasn’t a rebuild. He campaigned on winning immediately. 2017 he stumbled in several areas, and I give him that mulligan. 2018 there’s no reason for another mulligan; if he can’t make it this year, he never will.

Once again your dumbass shows. We're talking about a bet. I say playoffs by year 3. You go on about interim gigs and resumes.

yea les never beat women like our current coach. You have discredited everything les accomplished. If O wins less than miles I can’t wait to see you trash him as you do Les. Something tells me you won’t though

So we can't count the wins he earned correct?

You can't have it both ways

No. Just project wins and losses and stick by it.

Don't project 10 wins but then say hey if we win 7 it's because we were too young and O needs more time.

Well, this is bullshite. You don't belittle a person you respect and you've flat out shite on the man throughout the thread.

You're just straight up lying at this point.

No, its not a complete team yet and its a young team at the skill positions. You people must have never played football or at least past little league level. Patience .

Bob Stoops won a national championship two years after the John Blake debacle I posted about two pages ago.

The more perfect comparison to Orgeron’s situation this year is Kirby Smart’s situation last year. He had decent talent with some holes his first year in 2016 and went 8-5, then he shored up the holes last year and went 13-2.

he guy was the butt of every joke just not even 5 years ago. But... he's ONE OF US GIVE HIM A CHANCE HATERS

He was the butt of jokes nearly a decade ago when he was with a rival and deservedly so. His Louisiana roots don't mean a thing but he is OUR head coach and we should want him to be successful. Making him the butt of jokes while he is the head coach is counterintuitive, degrading and stupid.
Les Miles was also the point of countless jokes about his hat, his clock management, not crossing the 50 in the title game, running into a stacked 8 man box, and his mesozoic offenses. I myself referred to him as Elmer Fudd although Elmer had a better command of the English language.

I’m still waiting to hear why Neal Brown at Troy wouldn’t have been a better hire than O.

1. Would take the job
2. Does more with less talent

ETA:

3. Fit Alleva’s stated objective of hiring an offensive minded head coach with successful prior head coaching experience
