Prepare for the Mcmen to give a lot of bullshite reasons that no other coach with his record would get at LSU

really don’t see how you can justify keeping him around if we only win something like 2 or 3 SEC games this year

Where do you see 2 or 3 wins? Would be lucky to get 1 win. College basketball is the only one I watch. NBA is awful to watch anymore.

That’s why I said “try” to bring him back. I think he could forgive LSU for what happened, but idk, maybe he’s still mad at Woodward and tells us to frick off. We should still try tho.

Does he have a great recruiting class coming in that we might lose if he goes?
And who would they hire anyway?

This is the weakest excuse to ever retain a coach IMO. It's like saying in hindsight, we should have retained 2-8 DiNardo and not have hired Saban because of a recruiting class.

No offense, but this is another weak argument. There are 350+ NCAA Division I basketball schools with head coaches and assistants, etc. That also doesn't include D-II that has provided some great CBB coaches over the years.

Also, $2.7+ million dollars a year - shite, I may even apply.

Why should we retain Woody would be the better question.

This guy gets it. If Woodward is in charge of the next hire then you just might as well keep McMahon.

You can’t look past the Mulkey and Johnson hires. Both have won Championships

This team needed to win at least 7, if not 8, conference games to make the tournament. With the losses to Vandy and Mizzou, I don't see 5 wins on the schedule.

There's no light at the end of the tunnel. Time to move on from MM (and I don't mean rehiring WW either.)

What makes you think that?

Outside the 30 basketball maniacs on this board not a lot of folks even know we're not good and the big money basketball guys who move the needle, which there are not that many, are from what i hear not ready to pull the plug.

He gets credit for Johnson but Mulkey fell in his lap. His hires in the only two revenue producing sports sucked.

He lost arguably his 2 best players…1 before the season started and one before SEC play.

Recruiting class doesn't matter if you can't coach. If you have the jimmies and the joes, you also have to have the X's and the O's.
