He’s your DH which in theory is the best batter on the bench. The better question is “why is he the DH?”

True, but at least he hit it well. The 1st baseman was ready though and made a good play.

Because neither Drost nor Beloso can get base hits so he's just guessing at this point

Not really. It was a routine ground ball.

I think you have to go with Drost tomorrow.

How LSU can’t recruit somebody worth a crap to DH I don’t understand. It’s a gimme position

Beloso was good in 2019. His swing is fricked right now.

We're a long way off from the 90's when LSU has a DH that can't hit

Well, maybe compared to what he had been doing along with a few other hitters, it looked like he hit it decent. Before that, he wasn't even close to hitting it. I would try Drost too.

I told my sons, when he lost all that weight he lost his swing and his power. He was better with the weight on him

Should have pinch for thompson, too. He tries to pull everything. The announcers knew and clearly said that the pitcher was going to stay on the outside corner. There was very little chance Thompson was gonna get a hit. Why didn't our coaches know that?

Of all your choices: Beloso, Drost, Sanford, Safford, Cranford, Travinski, Wyeth, and the other Doughty, Beloso is the only one who has experience and success. Besides, Milazzo was in the hole and obviously was done for the night. Just not enough you can count on

Beloso has really become a liability in the lineup. At least Milazzo can bring his defensive skills to the table. We should be able to depend on a DH for at least 50% of his at-bats, right?
