Why is LSU only a 2.5 favorite over Arkansas?

Not so much that, as much a confluence of a letdown after that amazing Bama game and Arky playing for its life after losing to Liberty.

Letdown spot for sure and LSU's point spread value in the Vegas algorithms hasn't quite caught up. Maybe it's a trap spot but anyone in betting knows to hammer the teams who's playing above their point spread value.
Right now, LSU is probably playing like a top 5 team with the point spread value of a top 15 team.

That is a dangerous spot for us to be in as the previous poster said. Major letdown worry in addition to 30 degree weather to a team that lost to Liberty.

Late overtime game combined with an early kickoff in Arkansas.
However, I am happy that if we kickoff at 11am (really like 10 am after daylight savings) thst it’s an away game.
Early kick benefits the away team.
However, there’s still a lot of hangover from beating Alabama last week.

Bama always gets a ton of the public money and even at 13.5 most of public money and most of the actual bets were still on Alabama.

Huge trap game.
Arky has some talent and can still be tough. Have a solid QB that can run and is physical. Plus the possible letdown from an extremely emotional win… but I trust in BK to have the boys ready to roll! Lets lock up ATLANTA!

We will get Arkansas’ best shot. Morning road game. Most always a tight game. I like the Tigers to win but am not expecting a cakewalk.

Not saying LSU won't cover, and if they show up with emotion and play well, they will. I've always hated the "too good to be true spreads". I can see me loading up and LSU is up by 9 late and gives up a seemingly irrelevant TD and extra point in the last seconds. LSU still wins the game...but

Hogs are done. It will be cold and most of the fans will be in deer stands, not the tiny on campus stadium. We will win by 20 with mostly backups playing on both sides. Hogs are dinged up and sick.

Shitting the bed vs Arkansas after both emotional wins and losses vs Bama. Both at home and away.
