Arkansas always plays their best game against us. Georgia is playing on all cylinders. Its not that Georgia has always been good, but it's that they are playing GOOD FOOTBALL right now. that's all that matters--how they are playing NOW.

i always find this interesting. teams are playing good at this time. I've always looked at it as the competition they are facing. If you tend to look at when a team is not playing well vs when they are, it usually trends to the competition.

Both these team are on a roll due to lack of competition.

Arkansas has beat two teams with a winning record. Au and South carolina.

UGA has beat one, Au.

The secret is lsu being healthy for these two teams. In the past they have not. At the end of the day if lsu plays their game and is healthy, they will beat these two teams. These two teams are good enough if lsu isn't on their game to beat them.

Just stay healthy, play LSU football and we'll be ok.

Arkansas teams that were much larger underdogs than this one will be have beaten LSU before.

I think the point most people are trying to make is that nothing is certain. This idea that its all over and we are just sitting back waiting to find out who plays us BCS Championship is a dangerous one. Not for fans but hopefully the team doesn't have that outlook.

Its not like a loss to Arkansas or Georgia would be the biggest upset in the history of sport. There are much bigger upsets almost weekly. We dont want to be "that team"

Hell, it was a 3 loss LSU team that knocked Tenn out of the BCS game in the SEC Championship.

I think it's that after beating Bama everyone feels we are so close that we can taste it. ...And now that we've had a taste, we are very nervous we won't get the meal.

Exactly! It isn't so much that we don't think we have the team to finish the job. It's just we are oh so close we can taste it and the teams that have given us trouble this decade are all 3 in front of us. Throw in the possibility of going undefeated and it's alot of nerves already.

Heck alot of people forget about the 06 Ole Miss game. One of Ed Orgeron's worst teams (they went 2-6 in SEC play). They took an LSU Sugar Bowl team to overtime and a 4th and goal J. Russel to Dwayne Bowe to escape. It's enough to make any realistice fan just a bit nervous when you think about how much trouble these next two teams always seem to give us no matter how bad they are heading into the game.

We have one tough road game against the #2 team in the country at the time, then get a slow start the following week against WKU and all of a sudden the season is falling apart?

I wouldn't be surprised for either or both games to be close.

We've been there before. We've won tough games all season. These won't be any different. Give our team some credit.

Not "everyone" fears Arky and Georgia, especially the LSU Fighting Tigers football team!

Same people feared Oregon, MSU, WV, and Bama.

No fear here. This team is gonna do LSU proud and finish this bitch undefeated.

I am surprised that you are the only one that has said this thus far and this thread is half way thru the second page already.

I happen to agree with you 100%. Last week, before the changing of the guard at QB I said we would do to R-Kansas what we did to Auburn and I am sure we could have gone undefeated for first time since I've been following LSU (49 years), but I have the same fear you have.

I hope we are both wrong!!!

I think its this plus the fact that in years past we've been in Bama's position (the team with a loss rooting for the undefeated teams to lose). Most fans don't want that to happen to us but seem to be afraid that it might happen.

That being said, I just don't see this LSU team losing to Arky or UGA.

I would be more concerned if Ark. or Ga. had losing records. A 10-1 Ark. team will have LSU's attention. So will a 10-2 Ga. When LSU is interested, that's bad news for the opponent.
