Right now, LSU has the brand name. It’s seen all over, winning two of the last three years in Baseball, the Women’s Basketball team, winning a NC.
Look at the guys drafted into the NFL. The NC with Joe, his winning the Heisman along with Daniels.

Look at what Lane did at Ole Miss, the best coach they’ve had since the 50’s or 60’s.

Draw your own conclusions.

Schedules:

OM:

Ga 7-1
OU 6-2

LSU 3-5
KY 2-6
FL 2-6
SC 1-7
State 1-7
Ark 0-8

LSU:

Bama 7-1 @
A&M 7-1
OM 7-1 @
OU 6-2 @
Vandy 6-2 @

FL 2-6
SC 1-7
Ark 1-8

Swap schedules and LSU is at worst 9-3. OM was better than LSU, but not by as much as some think.

I believe the situation was mostly money related and I believe we should have paid it. Not paying it cost us way more.

Paying a guy a ton of money to sit the bench? Or move your OL around to make him happy? He was telling everyone, he was way better than Will. I’lI bet Lance doesn’t go as high as Will in the NFL Draft.

Lance wanted to get paid, but not do the work. Have you watched him play? I think he finally got awarded third team all SEC.

Leaving because of Brad Davis and not staying to be a part of a Lane Kiffin offense is like choosing to leave the beautiful beaches of Hawaii to go see Holly beach in South Louisiana. It’s astronomically stupid.

Nah, Its just his M.O.

That's The First Cuck you're talking to.

You should've seen his posts during the Will Wade era of Basketball.

I’ll take 3rd team sec over what we had this year. Look pay the money for him to sit the bench because if you don’t your gonna pay it in the transfer portal the following year anyway might as well give it to your high school recruit. Having Heard at left and Adam’s at right this year would have won his at least two more games. Then the boosters wouldn’t be paying BK 54 million to sit around. So yeah we should have paid Lance to sit the bench.

There’s a good chance that Kiffin believes they were being overpaid for the value they actually brought to the roster. Let’s see if after they test the open market they find they can’t find the money they think they can and they decide to stay after all. Kiffin may feel that his system doesn’t require the same allocation of resources to OL. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.

Curne is a big hit.

I saw him as a big part of righting the ship with the OL. Likely a 'cornerstone' or 'anchor' you can build around.

I hope Kiffin can recruit him back out of the portal.

Then again, he might see something (or is aware of something) that makes me wrong.

Thomas was following Atkins around. Don't think that was Davis

I think if Lsu counters with a few more bucks, he may stay, I read earlier that he just had a kid, so maybe a lil more money to stay where he’s at, would be ideal for him to stay, maybe move his parents to BR also and buy em a house, idk!! Lol

Spoonman claims LSU didn’t want to pay him as much this year. Apparently had some attitude issues last year also.

Maybe, just maybe, they read TD and after seeing its assessment of the OL this year decided to go elsewhere?

I don’t care. Kiffin offensive scheme is a lot more complex for the OLine. Some of these guys have the frame to be elite, but not the brain. I’m gonna trust Lane and staff on getting the guys they feel are the best fit.

He is going to be a very impressive guard for someone. That is for sure.

Lance wanted to play. Can you guys stop with these damn made up lies lol.

The kid wanted to play Tackle and not sit out another year. He went from getting beat up his first year of playing full time, to making the All SEC team this year. Seems like his bet on himself is paying off.

Or maybe Glasscock told him to go ahead and hit the portal.

Yall are way over thinking this. It is the same as a professional in any sport testing free agency except that it happens every year. Doesn't mean they aren't happy where they are but want to see what offers they get. Whether or not that is a good thing is a different conversation but it is the nature of the beast now. You have to stop looking at it as some negative when one of your player enters the portal. Heck if they aren't at least thinking about it they probably aren't very good. Just the world we live in

Maybe they want to follow Davis somewhere, anywhere....where they have a starting job and are not required to do anything to improve themselves. Except for more, I don't know of a single Olinemen that LSU should consider keeping. We certainly can't do any worse in the portal if we hired a completely new Oline, They were that. bad
