Since 2000 or including 2000?

LSU wore purple at home for every game from ‘83 through ‘94. DiNardo started in ‘95 and got the NCAA rule amended before the start of the ‘95 season.

Blame Dinardo. Purple at home is my favorite.

Nah whites are the best, I don't think we should ever wear the purps at home if given the option. And if we do wear the purps I liked the traditional ones from last night or the white helmet and pants with purple shirt with white numbers.

Sorry, LSU did not wear purple jerseys for 9 straight yrs. Never happened. GD got the rule changed to where the home team had its choice but no LSU HC had his team wearing them for 11 straight yrs.

Some of the best LSU teams in history never wore colored jerseys. From 1958 to 1962 it was white jerseys for the entire season. I recall that in 1962 when we played GaTech, our equipment manager had to find some gold jerseys in Atlanta because Tech's jerseys and the Tiger's uniform looked too similar on TV.

Our home whites are the best in football.

I love the purples, just not as much. I’m down to just keep how we’ve been doing it. Wear the purples or whatever gimmick Nike pushes against non conference then whites against the sec.

Not sure if I am understanding you correctly. LSU did in fact wear purple jerseys at home for 12 straight seasons.

Apologies if I am misreading your statement.

We wore purples at Ga Tech that day and also at Tulane that year.

I seem to remember we wore them a couple times each in 1960, and 1961, but not sure. I do remember that we wore solid gold uniforms (actually school bus yellow) in back-to-back games at Kentucky and Florida in 1959. Those were awe-inspiring and unfortunately they've never been revived since then.

Go look up who those opponents were. They were nearly all directional schools, FCS, or SEC cellar dwellers. That’s intentional.

Why can’t we wear them sometimes for night games at home against SEC opponents instead of just out of conference opponents? I understand not wearing them in the day games because White is better in the heat but we should wear them a lot more. They look sharp and I think our players love wearing them too.

frick off. STUPID post. How old are you? Study and read and watch. TRADITION is a GOOD thing.

It can be but refusing to change ever is not good.

I like the purple and wish we wore it more, I graduated from LSU in the early 90s. Maybe you’re just a bitter old man?
