I honestly don’t understand why people think this.

1. We hired Ed in 2016 and they perceive Ed Orgeron of 2016 and Frank Wilson of 2025 to be of similar experience/ability and that just isnt anywhere near reality.

2. They are fricking retarded.

3. REALLY fricking retarded.

I just find it weird that no recruits or current players have left. I think it’s already a done deal.

I would bet so much money that no one is currently telling recruits who the next head coach is going to be.

I think the new model in major cfb is spend less money on head coaches and spend money on really good coordinators and players.

They actually are fairly similar.

Frank was a bad HC when give the chance and Ed was the worst coach in Ole Miss history

I’ve learned to never assume Louisiana won’t frick up

Verge and Frank both have baggage from around the same time. One they can control to do the hiring of a football coach. Ask yourself what the odds are that they’ll take the secondary baggage and promote from within yet again. Big boy on the West coast isn’t footing 100 million for a lazy promotion.

Never doubt the folks of this state's ability to frick it up even further. This isn't just about LSU. It's a Lousiana thing. It's why we're last or near last in everything.

The ONLY way Frank is the head coach nextd year is if we strike out early on leading candidates AND Frank wins all 4 of his games (plus the bowl game).

You really think that is going to happen?

Only idiots believe he has a shot. He seems likable as a person and coach however.

Look at what’s happening.

Grabbed the president from a glorified high school down the road.

Elevated the lifetime assistant (with huge baggage) to the top job in the athletic department because he was in the room.

What’s the logical next step? Hiring a coach who’s under qualified and “one of us”, just like they did in steps 1 and 2.

What do you know about about the new president? I personally don’t know much about him.

Sounds like a longtime employee got a promotion.

Eh. I’d bet it doesn’t happen.

So you think a guy who just woke up today and wasn’t yet the president of the university interviewed all viable candidates for AD and then chose the best one?

The BOS are in charge of the university. They likely told their new President that they want Verge. He obviously didn’t have an issue with that. Case closed.

It’s coming. Wait till end of season. If we lose 2 games maybe not. But anything else and I bet he gets it.

No I don't think Wilson will be our next full time HC. I do believe Frank Wilson deserves a spot on the next HC's staff...recruiting maybe.

Yea as much as I don’t like the 5 hour verge hire, I can’t see the boosters coughing up 20-50M to fire BK to then allow Frank be hired.

I know a lot of people probably don’t like it but this very well could be boosters running the show. As long as they spend we should be good
