Why do older fans bring so much shite to the games with them?

they always have a bag full of stuff with them. they bring stadium seats, which makes no sense being that all seats have backs on them.
even saw one couple with miniature box fan type things to hang on the fence by their seats.

A lot of people have been doing this for a long time. Experience has taught them what they need to pack to maximize the enjoyment of the experience.

I've been known to carry an extra cushion and sometimes the radio headset plus a few other amenities in my cargo shorts to keep me happy for the 3 hours. hope this helps

They bring binoculars, fans, seat-backs, and those gigantic radio headphones. I think they are funny and are just trying to enjoy themselves. You can bet your arse he knew that ball was a home run.
