Why didn't Miles & Cameron continue 2nd Quarter play calling?

This alone is what's so frustrating about Miles & CC.

Moving the chains, short & intermediate throws and TOP are what will win games against Ole Miss, AU, Bama and Arkie.

It's like we completely abandoned what was working in 2nd Quarter.

That is what will need to change. They need to script plays for the QB at the beginning of both halves to get him going.

Typical Miles bullshite of not wanting to show too much and not showing up the opponent,IMO.

No worries about a new quarterback needing reps and this being the start of the season for the entire offense. I changed from beer to vodka after they opened the second half last night and my head still hurts like hell.

He still thinks powering it out with long, punishing drives in the second half works.

They did. You are just too ignorant to understand that an incomplete screen pass and a complete screen pass are the same play calls.

It was the second half and we had a lead.

Miles shut the offense down.

Wants to save some plays for the back pocket of his running pants and for when Etling will have to bail out Harris against State.

We had a comfortable lead.

We still had nearly 15 plays less than a FCS team. Troubling trend on TOP and # of snaps the D is on the field.

Dupre and Guice dropped some key passes that would have likely ended in scores.

The calling still seemed pretty good.

Want to see more check downs and passes to our TEs.

It was an execution issue.

When you have a special teams touchdown and a few explosive plays this will happen. Top is an overrated stat if you're scoring quickly.

Against equal competition yes we'll want to see the top look better because we likely won't have as many big plays.

What he said. In the second half there were some key drops and a couple of unnecessary long throws - especially the long sideline throw on 3 and 2 late in the game. Earlier, there were more check down throws to the shorter routes.

The only successful 2nd half drive didn't feature a single pass.
It was pretty evident they were out of sync on balanced approach, not executing throws, catches, penalties and well...... players just not doing their jobs.
I don't have time to rewatch and would like an explanation of this scheme change as I don't recall it, just plain bad play.

Bc we had a big lead and when you have a big lead you run the ball and chew up clock to end the game.
