Why can't we get a coach that can produce dominating OLs?

We rant and rave about Brad Smith and his outstanding recruiting, but if he's as good as he's built up to be, then he should be able to put together a good OL, not even a great OL. Last year, we had four OL players drafted in the NFL and we were a horrible running team. What's the use of bringing in all these highly rated OL when they perform the same as a much cheaper 2-3 star player.
We pump up Smith and hear all the time that CBK has produced several NFL first round OL draft picks, but it's the same story, just a different year. To make matters worse, why would a stud RB stick around or even sign with LSU when the OL can't create holes for him to run in.
This clown show has run its course and it's time to get a coach that can recruit, coach and produce dominating OLs if LSU ever wants to become a yearly NC contender.

We had a great OL last year that was supposed to carry. Chester was so bad that he brought us from A grade to a C+ grade.
Hopefully Moore comes back & kicks DJ out to the bench and Coen Echols, Carius Curne or Soloman becomes the “6th”. I still think our OL will gel eventually to be good like a 2023 or 2019 unit.
Good news in the meantime is that our defense looks much improved which will help us to stay in games while our O figures things out

Brother I do agree with you, but if you are going to dog and rant about someone on the coaching staff like this, at least get his name right lol

He doesn't recruit OL's that have the entire package required to be successful at this level. (LSU-SEC)

The rants' main gripe this week is that Kelly needs to bench a backup player that only came off the bench because of injury and that our OLine doesnt look good without our only Lineman who solidified his starting position more than 3 weeks ago.

Ok, it's Brad Davis, not Smith! He's lucky that's all I called him because he's just not getting the job done. Saturday night was just another subpar OL performance that's become all too common. What's the use of paying these 4 and 5 star guys a lot of money when we can't develop them?
All these coaches are getting paid very well, and at some point, they need to earn their money by putting out a great product every week! We're paying Davis like a king and getting nothing but food stamps in return!
