wasn’t aimed at me, but you do know the views on TV is approximately a billion times better than in the arena? i mean they show replays, multiple angles, close ups, etc.
Lol basketball is probably the only sport I prefer to watch in person.
Arena is 68 degrees (although the Pmac can get warm at times), tickets are cheap, and there is little to no traffic getting in and out parking lots. Plus if you aren't a poor and sit close enough, after a few beers, the opposing players can hear the insults you yell out

So was I. Most of these posters don’t have any clue what a 3 man weave is.

Here’s the facts Jack. This is what the private Wade did and these are ramifications our program has to currently deal with. Handed down June 23, 2023.
According to the IRP, Wade "committed multiple violations, including failing to report potential NCAA violations, providing impermissible cash payments to impede disclosure of information of potential NCAA violations in contradiction to NCAA unethical conduct legislation, and failing to cooperate with the infractions investigation. The hearing panel also found that the former head men's basketball coach violated the head coach responsibility rules by failing to promote an atmosphere of compliance within the men's basketball program."
Four Level I violations were determined by the IRP, with two more of Level II and two more Level III transgressions
Let me spell it out for the Mad queen in terms he can understand. LSU gave Wade multiple chances to explain himself. He refused. That’s one of the most egregious allegations. Do you know what that means??? It means he quit on his own players and team. He’s a straight bitch. That never took LSU past the sweet 16. He’s a coward

The guy who won more games than any other Coach in the SEC,during his LSU tenure, and was eligible for the playoffs every season, was replaced by a Coach who hasn't won 50% of his conference games. And has no expectations of being a winner in the next coiuple of seasons.
The guy that was fired has made an instant winner of his new team and has a chance to make the final 64.
What a win for LSU fans.
I can tell you are excited and proud. Congratulations.

Is that your only takeaway from the post?

Actually here are the facts.
The NCAA is on its last breath.
Sports are entertainment. As evidenced by the crowds at the PMAC, the current product is not very entertaining. Will Wade's product was.
Basketball is typically the only sport that turns a profit behind football. LSU's managed to be in a deficit last season.
Not only did fat moron Scott Woodward nuke the basketball program, he made an absolutely terrible business decision

“As in most athletic departments, football helps support almost everything else. The only other LSU sport to turn a profit during the 2022-23 academic year was men’s basketball. Every other sport lost at least $1 million, with women’s basketball the furthest in the red.“
“Men’s basketball finished with a $1.34 million profit during coach Matt McMahon’s first season, even though the team went 14-19 overall and won two SEC games. As ticket sales and other primary revenue sources remained steady, men’s basketball reported a slight increase in total revenue ($507,435) from the year before.”

Cause we yielded to the Gestapo NCAA Enforcement Division and fired the coach that was putting us on the competitive map again. Now he is killing it in Lake Charles and will get a Power 5 offer at the end of this year. Probably won't take it but will stay another year at McNeese and then get a really good P5 school to come calling after that. Don't be surprised if he visits the PMAC as the visiting coach in two years. It's a shame.

Bad hires plain and simple and we sold out The General.

Instead of standing behind our general like Kansas did we pushed him off the ledge
Someone had to take a fall, to get them off our arse.
Do you care more about LSU football, or LSU basketball?
Do you think Kansas cares more about football, or basketball?
I think you have your answer on why we didn't stick up for Wade like Kansas did.
I guess we should just be grateful we have baseball, and WBB was able to make a run.

Drop off will show this season. Everyone that purchased season tickets during the Wade era probably held them to see how the new coach would do.
Also cheaper to not have to travel for post season play, some thing this program won't be doing for a while

Short answer:
Louisiana doesn’t care about basketball. It’s all football and baseball. Plain and simple.
States like Kansas, North Carolina and Kentucky are the opposite. They are all in on hoops and football comes second.
It’s just the way it is. It starts with the kids at a young age, they’re all steered toward football and any developmental basketball tends to be much less of a priority as a whole.
Look at the state of Georgia. Same thing. They probably have plenty of talented kids that could play basketball but they all end up with a helmet on.

Not a consistent producer of bball talent in LA. We have had our best teams when the state is producing great talent. If we have to rely on players heavily from Chicago, NY, ATL, etc. we will have troubles.

Atlanta is one of the best Hs basketball hubs in the country the kids just don’t go to UGA. Same with Louisiana, we don’t get the high star ratings but we’re 3rd nationally in NBA players per capita.

Nah I’m not buying that.

You don’t have to buy it, it’s fact….
My bad, Louisiana is #2 now in NBA players per capita

This is what I find hilarious. People ( because the don’t follow basketball) don’t realize the talent generally in this state.
Basketball could be a consistent winner and a huge source of revenue. Each NCAA tournament win is worth about $2million over 6 years or about $337,000 per year. A sweet 16 run is an additional $4 mill.
Only football eclipsing its payout.
Baseball doesn’t pay shite compared to March madness
