He played in AAAAA in high school. Brennan played in AA. Burrow has 3 years in Urban Meyer QB development. Brennan has 1.5 in a questionable one. The difference between 22 and 19 is huge. And it is more like 30 pounds.
Brennan was dropping his elbow on passes last year and in the spring game. Could be an unfixable error. Anyway. This is why they play the game

Canada thought Brennan should run his system
, well that right there shows how incapable Canada was. If he truly thought Brennan would have been a better quarterback last season than Etling who threw only 2 ints all season.
Either that or Canada had written off last season and was going to prep Brennan for this coming season
Either way, what an idiot

I'm sorry Myles, give me an address so I can send you a pizza I think you will be good too just need a lil more size.

I think it was this.
If the QBs are somewhat close, why not go with the guy with higher potential and who's going to be here for at least the next 3 seasons?
Canada at least understood that QB development is a long game. It's not like microwaving a hot pocket. What's idiotic about that?

It's not just based off of Hope and Dreams. A lot of fans have seen his spring game highlights and also the little bit of PT he got last year. Also based off of what Ohio State fans have to say about him as well as our own players. So really that's quite a bit to go on to make me believe he's going to be a game-changer type of quarterback and most definitely SEC level QB ( which really isn't saying much if you think about it)

No! Miles is responsible for LSU's reputation of "no QB U".

I wouldn't say I'm high on him. I do have extremely high hopes and above average expectations however. I'd say I'm "overly optimistic". Here's why:
- plenty of reps behind him; not much new to learn
- from accounts, he's putting in work now to develop chemistry
- can't teach experience; while he doesn't have a plethora of it, he has hopefully enough of it in practice under some good offensive minds (i.e., still more experience than what we have minus McMillan and they are probably equal if one were to count reps)
- was recruited/evaluated by Herman & Meyer. Their track record is indeed better than any under the current staff or previous. Worth noting, they did a pretty damn good job with Etling.
- can't help but notice that in over a decade our most productive QBs (single season) have been transfers/JUCO. Mett 2X in 2012 (#6) and 2013 (#3) and Etling last year at #8. Might as well keep the streak.... if we get Mett 3.0 out of Burrow WITH A DEFENSE the results might be very very good. Note that, as it stands today, the OL protecting Burrow is well behind the one that Mett had (and we were 9th in SEC allowing 25 sacks in '13).
ETA:
Miles felt too secure in his position (for good reason- 2015 anyone) and felt no pressure to play the long game. Orgeron, IMHO, is the opposite he feels the pressure and is playing an extremely short game.

quote:Agree Goldrush25. Miles drove me nuts with that. Having Mett kneel and getting in trouble for scoring is just one example. I never could figure out why he would do that. So far Orgeron is on same tack; but I think I know why with him: fear and insecurity.

Oh, I don't know, accuracy, pre/post snap reads along with quick decision making, high completion %, bigger body to absorb hits and high football IQ. I know brennan has some of these attributes but watching burrow, you see the poise, confidence and execution.

From what I’ve seen he has the ability to be successful at LSU
Posted on 7/21/18 at 8:20 pm to TigerMorrison33
Just watch burrow at Osu n mop ups and spring games. Trust me he showed enough n that little bit of film that he’s got “it”
Kinda like everyone knew what Stidham was after playin just 4 games st Baylor.

Guess OP doesn't read or research much.
Maybe if Brennen put on another 20 lbs it might make a difference, but hey just let it play out I have the feeling it will work out in a positive way for LSU.

1) we haven't seen him yet (except a few snaps in their spring game). the truth is that many, many people (LSU fans included) have the "greener pasture syndrome"
2) the spring game did not reveal a QB that appeared to be ready for SEC play
3) we are desperate for a savior QB
4) facts mean nothing any more; it's all about perception and emotion
For once I agree with you.

Contrived offense, that's perfectly states what I think he's done with Ensminger.
Poor Ensminger, I feel for him because he's truly a good guy just helping out a friend, but he did sign his name on that dotted line, so he's going to take some of the heat coming his way as well.

You're blinder than a bat if you can't see on film how much better Burrow is than the 3 amigos.

The difference between 22 and 19 is huge.
quote:also an excuse. Weight only matters for the ability to withstand a season of real game pounding. It has zero affect in practice.
And it is more like 30 pounds.
