Why are you people so high on Joe Burrow?

I get that he won the Ohio Mr. Football award, He was a great prospect, and he had a good spring game.
Other than that, He hasn't taken any meaningful snaps. Did some mop up duty for Ohio St. Hasn't taken a single snap in the LSU uniform.
I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback and that I dont believe he's the answer to the LSU offense, But why is that people think he is the man that will lead us to a successful season?
To me, other than 3 years and 15 pounds heavier, His resume isnt much more impressive than Myles Brennan.

Even in mop up duty you still have to be able to complete passes and he did.

Urban is a very good QB developer.

I really Do like everything I’ve seen of him, but will it translate over a full season?

Will our offense actually work for him?

But other than THAT, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I'm actually more convinced of Burrow after OP.

Based on footage/videos/film of Brennan and Burrow, it was clear to me that Burrow is much better at this point. Burrow did everything right. Brennan made numerous mistakes. You apparently haven't watched all the footage.

1) we haven't seen him yet (except a few snaps in their spring game). the truth is that many, many people (LSU fans included) have the "greener pasture syndrome"

2) the spring game did not reveal a QB that appeared to be ready for SEC play

3) we are desperate for a savior QB

4) facts mean nothing any more; it's all about perception and emotion

Because good LSU quarterbacks are as common as a classy whore.

Parroting quotes from Brennan's dad are we?

Three years is kind of a lot. Burrow is ready to play, Brennan is not. He's also a good fit for the system.

Pretty simple.

- 6’3” 215
- biggest attribute being reported by those who’ve worked with him is accuracy
- since he’s graduated he’s pretty much a full time football player
- he is mobile enough to make defenses pay
- it’s not like the other QBs have game experience over him

This is more important than anything. Does anyone think we get the most out of him with this patchwork offense O had Ensminger cobble together?

I’m not sold in him.

I hope he comes in and is everything we hope for in a QB.

But I’ll remain skeptical until I see it on the field.

You are right, LSU GrandDad, BUT again, video evidence shows Burrow is much further along than Brennan, McMillan, and Narcisse; and that is indisputable, Sir.

What is our system, by the way?

To me that says less about Burrow than it does about the other 3.

Burrow has the size and maturity the team needs right now. He appears to have really good accuracy and doesn't forget to look off the safety.

He seems to be more promising than the guys we currently have on staff besides him.

Well, we are driven by passion, hope, and emotion. And I did say Burrow is "MUCH FURTHER ALONG." He is accurate and consistent. The other 3 are not.

People who know good QBs think he’s a good QB. Pretty simple.
