Why are people allowed to criticize every position minus QB?

When the game was out of reach, there was a graphic put up for second half yards.

It was along the lines of LSU 56, FSU 285.

As the leader of a championship caliber team/heisman candidate - that’s unacceptable.

But if someone brings up the QB play it’s not JD’s fault at all? I agree the entire team and coaching staff didn’t play well but JD rightfully deserves criticism as well.

Also the local talking heads saying “people have made up their mind on JD and won’t change it”. How many years of the same play do you have to see before you realize the kid is a good athlete, but may not be able to play QB at the top level of college football?

We aren’t a championship caliber team and he isn’t a Heisman candidate.

He’s the most protected player in Rant history for some reason.

Because it’s not what you actually say but what some “hear”.

I’m not sold on Daniels at all but I’m also not as confident in Nuss as others here seem to be. I feel like it’s the age old thing where the backup QB is the most popular guy on the team.

Everyone, including BK, knows he cannot get it done. I would tell him he is going to give a try at WR or sit on the bench.

And you know everyone defending this knows what good qb play looks like.

I don’t think anyone is really saying the QB can’t be criticized.

It’s the fact that a lot of people are acting like he single handedly cost us the game and not even acknowledging everything else.

Maybe some people are tired of the old “the backup quarterback is always the best” mindset that LSU fans have.

Then, we’re disappointed when we figure out that it wasn’t even close to being true when the backup starts.

You have two sides. One that criticizes every position but QB. And one that only criticizes QB.

Criticize all you like. Maybe it would have helped …a little. But unless Nuss bean poles CBK between the eyes and we land a new coach, aint no quarterback fixing all the problems we saw last night.

Because this board only ever blames the QB, second string is always the answer, and our QB room is one of our stronger units this year

No one who matters gives a shite about the opinions expressed here. Flame away on Daniels.

Your opinion is just another popcorn fart in the wind.

Who says you can't criticize Daniels? He was criticized like anyone else. He had some very good moments and he had some crappy ones with sailing or under throwing the ball. I think people are just saying our defense was clearly the bigger issue (along with our OC play calling and BK's decisions on 4th down in the 1st half which were clearly bigger issues of the night).

I don't know if Nuss can necessarily fix the issues, but what's the worst that can happen? He throws a couple of interceptions and we lose?

Hell, JD5 threw a pick last night and fumbled as well, luckily LSU recovered the fumble.

I just know that Daniels has very clear limitations and doesn't appear any better than last season.

I also know that the offense seems to run much smoother with Nuss in the game.
