He’s being the voice of reason. He’s stating that it was a prolonged encounter. Not just a snap heat if the moment ejection. That the ump gave him several chances and he just wouldn’t listen.

KP doesn’t even mention guy was arguing something that you can’t argue, after a warning, and 5 steps onto the field walking towards the ump, dropping f bombs.
Think KP just genuinely annoyed coach was that loose in the first place, yet his ornery schtick he can’t formulate the proper analysis.
