This started with Les in the early 2010s when NFLSU started up, and LSU became all about getting and getting out ASAP, promising every recruit that they would go to the NFL. That's fine for recruiting purposes but horrible for long-term health of the program. We will not consistently compete until we shed that reputation as a three year NFL combine.

Still using one outlier year to argue against an almost universally accepted fact. Typical LE

Meaning you left LSU before your junior year in college and landed a lucrative dream job? Or did you have to graduate first?

The current coach has publicly spoken about re-recruiting underclassmen back to school, and has successfully done so multiple times over lol.

You’ll have to re focus on what you are actually trying to argue.

LSU cannot be pushing the message you are saying when the coach is saying something else publicly & successfuly re recruiting players back to schoo

I'm concerned that the new trend is to play 2 years and sit out the third season and get ready for the draft

That is a concern but 99.9999% of players can’t do that. I can Think of maybe 2 players who could sit out a whole year and not drop.

LF7 and Chase. Who had historic seasons.

Shelvin is going to have to show the frick out to go as high as he would have with a good season.

so successful that we are the worst in the country over the last 9 years

So successful we got gutted worse than any team ever last year

So successful we have more quitters this year than any other sec school

Bury your head in the sand. Others would like discuss what is actually happening at LSU

What uncommon is the rate it happens to LSU

Yap, I’m definitely coming to you & LNCHBOX for rational O takes lol.

He can successfully recruit players back; all while directly saying it publicly, and you will still say he is pushing a different message. That is funny.

Well we are loaded with talent correct?

Isn't there really on 3-4 teams that we can compare too?

He is struggling massively to keep players from quitting, much less recruiting them back

LSU has had 4 bonafide starters quit this year. How many for our “peers” as you like to call them?

Except for the 6 from 2018 and all the ones from last year that declared prior to COVID happening, but yea, keep talking out your arse.

My argument is you're a clown and as usual, I'm right.

We aren't successful relative to our peers though. The numbers show it. your head is cemented so far up your arse you can't see it though.

170 college football players have opted out of playing, under unprecedented circumstances.

But yea, it’s fun to pretend LSU players are just quitting because of a culture issue.

This wouldn't be nearly as big a deal as it is if LSU could develop top-tier QBs, one right after another, like some select other programs do. This prevents us from competing at the highest level on a more consistent basis far more than the defections do.

Lets ignore the fact you no longer want to compare us to like teams anymore, That averages out to 1.3 per team

LSU has had 4 starters alone

So once again, why do our players have more of a "me" mentality

It started under Miles as a recruiting tactic. I honestly don’t think O is selling this the same way Miles was, but it’s ingrained in the program. He would have to make a concerted effort to change the culture away from it now. I think he has to or it will eventually cost him this job.

This is his perfect opportunity to change the culture with players leaving. So if he doesn't get it done now, he will never get it done.
