Just trying to be realistic that’s all. We are heading in a good direction but we are weak in many areas. Just being honest. I’ll change my name to honest Paul.
.500 that’s not being realistic that’s just being an a-hole and not positive. This team is considerably better than last year‘s team, and they went 10-4

It's currently 109° F in my neighborhood; 39% RH. I'm ready for some football, but not today. It's just too darn hot, even for a scrimmage

2011
I'd take 2023 in a close one.

No. That’s not close. 2011 was an average offense. Bama played 8 quarters against that offense and did not surrender a TD.

The 2011 offense had some good statistics, but there were many games in which they could not do anything, but our defense was so dominant that we kept getting the ball back right awat, time after time, until the other defense broke. That wasn’t good offense; it was great defense.

I am not too far from you, yep it's hot and practice starts soon for many. It will be tough. I remember "three-a-days", so many practices where I could only keep Jello down!

Usually highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s with mostly sunny skies.
But, there have been exceptions...

Yep, it's a pretty beautiful place in spots. Ever been to Yellowstone or Jackson, WY?

I’d be happy with it not being in 90’s, which should occur sometime in October

Easy Homer! None were even a top ten back in the SEC last year.

None of Georgia's running backs were top 10. That must be why they couldn't compete last season.

Teams with better records than LSU with top 10 SEC running backs last season:

Alabama - #5 & #8
Tennesee - #7

The rest of the teams with top 10 running backs

Arkansas(7-6, 3-5) - #1
Ole Miss(8-5, 4-4) - #2, #9
Auburn(5-7, 2-6) - #3
Florida(6-7,2-6) - #4, #6
Texas A&M(5-7,3-5) - #10

I wish the expectations weren’t so outlandish for this football team. We can’t expect a natty this year but the expectation is anything but that is a failure. We still have too many holes in secondary and on offense to compete. Will be a mediocre team this year but still fun to watch them go 500.

Two words “running back”. We have running back by committee bc we don’t have one. Denial!!

I agree we don’t have a stud back like we are used to, but lets allow some games to play out before we melt about it

I'm in England's Peak District where it's rainy and in the 50s and 60s every day, so I'm looking forward to the late August heat when I get back to NOLA.
