Whoever leaked the "expulsion" story to Dellenger threw gasoline on the already hot fire.

It was fine when all we were doing was waiting on Thursday. Then that story leaks and got the ball rolling on LSU fully embracing the villain role. It's been a long time since the fanbase is seemingly puling the rope in the same direction. People may not be happy with the Kiffin hire but threatening to expel a founding member of the conference FOR NOT BREAKING ANY RULES is the glue that brings us together.
Enjoy this weekend, kids. We'll never get another 1st game in Tiger Stadium against this type of opponent with this amount of hate.

I just don't believe lane is going to be our coach in 5 years so doing all of this for him is going to look bad when that happens. And yes if we win championship he leaves sooner. I love lane and think he's hilarious but no way is he still in baton rouge in five years.

Lane will give us plenty of reasons I'm sure but this ain't it. He took advantage of a "rule" that didn't exist along with over 300 other athletes. The calling out LSU is very personal.
They want to make Lane and LSU a villain? Fine. But you better be prepared for the consequences that follow. LSU fans have mellowed out over the past decade or so. No more. Watch what Tiger Stadium looks like Saturday night.

The loss of the ticket, concessions and media rights payments from the SEC
The revenue to the area from visitors, plus the taxes collected
TAF default on bonds floated for construction and renovation to athletic facilities
None of that will be replaced with an affiliation with any other conference. First of all, we wouldn't be welcome in the rest of the P4. The G5 is a pittance if they would even have us.

It won't happen. If Landry, Rousse, BOS, the TAF, BayouTraditions leaders allow this continue at the risk of all the above, then Louisiana is bankrupt state. Even though I think the conference's position is ridiculous based on it's own arguments, this fight is not a hill we should die on.

You are one weak and soft human being that lets fear drive your decisions. LSU lawyers are confirming what the SEC will do if Thursday is ruled in favor for the players. They said they will comply with the court order whichever way it goes. This is in writing, not like it matters, because if the SEC goes against the order, LSU will sue and win against the SEC. Do you know what those damages would amount to? The answer is more than what you listed, breaking the SEC. What LSU is doing isn’t any different than what others are doing. We are just the villain for hiring Lane Kiffin.
This is a power struggle, with all the old power players not having the control over LSU that they’ve held over us since Saban left. King, Tate, Alleva and Woodward were cowards and would’ve kissed the ring. This new leadership is fighting for LSU and I’m appreciative of that.

For abiding the law? For being the sole party to avoid action placing the SEC and its members in a Contempt of Court proceeding?
The SEC is not a JrHigh mean girls clique.
Lane foresaw the 5-for-5 opportunity, and held 4 roster spots open to accommodate it, while other teams did not. The fact that others feelings are hurt because they lacked the same foresight does not provide a skosh of basis for ANY legal action. None! Much less, expulsion.
