You know the bar has been lowered when stating objective facts about wins and losses is deemed biased.

Les won a NC & I will forever by grateful for his leadership in that. But we almost didn't make it to that game. We lost 2 games, the only team ever to play for a Natty with 2 losses.
Plus, at that time Alabama was a #17 ranked team when we played them. Not a really serious threat like they have been in more recent years.
Hard to compare 2007 to now, other than they did what needed to be done and won the hardware. But with 2 losses now you would be playing in the Sugar or Chick Fil A bowls.

BTW, very happy with Burrow transfer, Joe Brady, JRs that stayed for their SR year, & the '19 & '20 recruiting classes. We gonna be OK.

I’ll admit, he has exceeded his expectations. That being said, it would be foolish to say he is a clear upgrade. Les brought in the same type of recruiting classes that are being pulled in now. The next step is to actually use this talent and win something that Les has to his name.

What has O won that Les didn't?

O has committed to a cutting edge passing offense. He's won the support of the fans and power brokers who have pushed for that for a long time.

He has exceeded expectations but he has a ways to go to be in the same conversation as one of the best to ever roam the sideline at LSU.

Les also didnt adapt to the new style of football the last few years and struggled to win 9-10 games a season.

Coach O wins 10 regular season games and a new years 6 is an upgrage and things only look to be better with the recruiting and joe brady.

Les was stale and plateaued. O just keeps ascending.

How you Nega-tards can downvote is something for Ripley's Believe it or Not!

Les squandered some of the greatest talent ever assembled in an LSU uniform, and backstroked in to a NC in his 3rd year. Let’s wait and see what O does in his 3rd full year.

While some of us are accused of wanting to see the team fail because we didn’t think coach O was a qualified hire others sit here and belittle one of 3 championships in school history

He’s crushing it in recruiting. Still has to get them to perform on the field and get the offense going. But I’m happy I was wrong about orgeron.

Geez dude. Be happy that 2019 is looking good and let it play out. Les has a natty under his belt so let's give O a chance to turn potential into production before you go proclaiming O is better.

Not a negatiger. O has definitely exceeded expectations.

But his best season was 3 losses (same as CLM's last full season) and he has no hardware.

I'm waiting to see what LSU looks like when the SEC isn't a dumpster fire. Best team in the SEC got ran out of the stadium by Clemson last season
