Lyn Amedee's dumb arse that kept calling passing plays in that Auburn game where Howard threw all the pick-6's in the 4th quarter.

Matt McMahon. And it’s not even close when looking at the last 50-60 years

House probably cost us a national championship,

No, he didnt. As much as all of you want to blame the coach, it wasnt House. House had a top 30 defense his first year with 39 scholarship players. What happened his 2nd year? A MASSIVE drop off in talent. Do me a favor, google that starting defense. You'll see a grand total of 2 guys in the NFL contributing at a decent level.

Not a single DB or safety excelled at the next level. Of the starting DL, ONE, made it to the NFL. Our safeties couldnt figure out cover 2 zone and would get lost and burnt all the time.

Archer was a great defensive mind, but his extreme laziness at recruiting set our program back for a decade. That followed up by somebody who didn’t recruit and was also a dumbass, Curly Hallman was the one to punch that made us irrelevant and the late 80s and through the mid90s!

My vote will always be Lou Tepper.

LSU was good in 1997. They were a top 10 team in 1998 (first time in a decade). Largely because LSU was returning so many key players. It was Tepper's stupid scheme that took a projected top 10 team and dumped them to 4-7. Rarely can you say one coaching change may that big of a difference. But in this case it did and it was reaffirmed in 1999. At least House had one decent season. Tepper tanked the program immediately

This and its not even close. I was a student at LSU during that time and watching UGA beat us in Tiger Stadium was so disheartening. That 1998 season went on to be one of the worst I've seen followed by 1999. But it brought us Saban!

Coordinators?

Lou “it will take about 3-4 years to master this defense” Tepper

Mike Bugar, DC under Hallman

Lyn Amadee was awful and no QB under him achieved anything

Cam Cameron and his toss dives

“Malveto” was perhaps the worst of all

Matt Canada and his nine motions from 7 players offense.

Gary Crowton in 08-09

All equally bad

Got a standing ovation vs Auburn 1999 when he was jogging off the field to be benched for the remainder of the first half. Ugliest LSU game I’ve seen in the last 30.
