Edwards helaire made McKinney look like a damn fool on that spin move td and an couple other times he got played. However, the best player for bama that day was devonta Smith. That fricker had 7 catches for 200+ yards and 2 tds and kept them in the game and made the score closer than it really should have been and truly was. Nobody on their defense should even be considered as the best player on the field for them the way we shredded their defense that game.

Derrick Brown is the only answer

If you go back and watch that game and key in on him, he dominated.

Derek brown & Simmons on D

Devonta Smith & Plumlee on O

Smith had 200yards on a defensive backfield with 3 first round picks. That’s insane

Lots of them have potential. None are as locked into NFL superstardom as Burrow, Chase, and Stingley.

Simmons from Clemson was a man-child out there! He's going to be a beast in the NFL!

Great post - really fun to read the responses.

My take: at tie between Derrick Brown (Auburn) and that punt returner for Alabama (cannot think of his name right now). That kid can fly.

Please keep the responses coming - and think of it as who played best against us. In my mind, that eliminates Simmons and Trevor from Clemson.

Lol, John Rhys Plumlee? Hell fricking no. We will shut his arse down next season just watch. They found a package to exploit our defense with him running the wildcat at qb bc we hadn't prepared for it and he's really quick. That shite isn't going to happen again.

If we use this and next years NFL draft as a guide it’s this group: Isaiah Simmons, Tua, Jerry Jeudy, Andrew Thomas, Trevor Lawrence, Derrick Brown, CeeDee Lamb,
