Are you advanced enough to understand different circumstances though?

LSU was still considered a top football program when settling for a failure of a HC who brings nothing schematically to the table. And within one year they now have their lowest ranked recruiting class in like over a decade?

One could argue that he has been a pseudo-omnicoordinator everywhere he has been a HC, with his meddling that is.

Coach O and its not close. Archer had a good defense under Arnsparger and was an okay hire, should have been Spurrier but good ole boys still in control at that time, Hallman on paper looked good even though all based on Bret Favre, Dinardo was at least a HC even if it was at Vandy. O couldnt get hired at USC, Syracuse and had an abysmal record as a Head Coach and is a complete liar by stating at anyjob he is at , Ole Miss, Tenny, USC, Miami, all are the best place for him to coach.

Is that so, smarty? Then explain why Ole Miss claims that he was theirs: LINK

Bo Rein at the time was considered an up and coming young talent in college football. We will never know how he would have done, but he was respected at the time.

Yaw yaw. Not even close. Those other guys at least accomplished something in their careers to get them a shot at LSU. All ed did was snake bite Les to slide into the position.

Dietzel was really a stretch and then until they won the NC his teams played bad. Then Dietzel hired Mac who had no experience either to replace him as HC. Of all the coaches hired Bo Rein was the most qualified and at the time was the hottest coach in the country.

Mike Archer was worse because of who they turned down- Steve Spurrier and Mike Shanahan for starters.

When Texas is a consistent contender you might be walking that statement back.

0 was easily the most questionable hire. Easily. Worst coach in Ole Miss history, never even been a coordinator, not sought after by any other school, behavioral problems, just an all around terrible candidate for anything other than a positional coach.

I agree with his experience factor, However Curly got the LSU job based on the fact he showed he could beat Bama while coaching USM... You were not alive back then but still think you are qualified to judge... But whatever... Hallman never came close to sniffing a season like we had last year.. I agree he didn't have the talent O did. but his teams were just horribly coached no matter the talent..

The correct answer to this is Jerry Stovall. Jerry's a fine man, and a good Christian, and a fan favorite, but he...was a TERRIBLE coach. There was no justification for this kneejerk hire after the Bo Rein tragedy.

WHOA... He recruited Hilliard and James... AFTER a 3-7-1 season............ Took them to the Orange Bowl after an 8-2-1 season the very next year.............
