People seem to forget that Cal has had two banners torn down for cheating, he was paying guys in the 90s
Dale got us real probation for paying players and getting caught
Pearl and Sampson both caught cheating multiple times.
Pearl even had a scandal at Auburn but they stuck by him.
End of the day LSU had poor and weak leadership in DEI Tate and fat Scott.

Hahaha…here’s the thing…
EVERYONE knows that WW was cheating. I mean…the fans knew it, the media reported on it, the FBI knew about it, the NCAA knew about it…
…literally everyone knew about it….not just “hardly anyone”.
Why don’t you address my question, which to remind you was: “why have any rules at all if we’re just going to excuse violating them because we *think* that everyone else is doing it?”

The "rules' are a sham guideline to make simpletons like yourself feel better about things.
I've gone to many AAU/EYBL tournaments over the last 20 years. I've spoken to assistant coaches from Oak Hill, Montverde, and Huntington Prep (WV). I've also spoken to at least a dozen EYBL HCs. Every single one told me that Duke is THE WORST at illegal recruiting.
The media AND NCAA choose who they protect, and who they crucify. This is why Duke has the reputation as "doing it the right way" and it's COMPLETE bullshite.
Gay bilas, prick vitale, and all the other media that buried Wade 5 years ago damned sure know this, and yet they were all screaming for Wade's scalp.
Hypocrisy at it's finest.

Dale got caught paying off Lester Earl's dad truck loan after he lost his job and had his secretary give him some names and numbers to call for a new job. that's not exactly the same as "paying players".
however, at the very same time this was going down with Lester Earl, Notre Dame had 2 players who were paid 5-6x what the truck loan was and Notre Dame football got a slap on the wrist and we almost got the death penalty.

So if a player decides to play college ball for 10 years, what of it, right?
Rules exist for a reason. I mean…so what if the shot clock expired? Count the basket!
At some point, rules have to mean something. WW got caught. He’s not even that good of a coach. How many Elite 8 appearances does he have again? Good ol’ one and done.
LSU can do and should have done better. The hire has absolutely brought down the level of value and discourse amongst fans.
He’ll get caught again, though. It’s what he does, after all.
Again…why have any rules at all?
