Who needs this game more?

I think it’s Ole Miss. They cannot afford to have Lane come back into their stadium and beat them with a new team in year one.
Even if LSU loses, which program do you think is headed in a better direction? LSU or a Pete Golding led Ole Miss?
Almost certainly both of these coaches will be in their respective positions in 2027. LSU is likely to have a better roster and will have more players entering their second year in this system. Ole Miss will be without Chambliss and Lacey.
If Ole Miss doesn’t get Lane now, they might not get him.

Assuming it’s not a blow-out either way, Ole Miss.
1) Home stadium
2) Golding is a new HC
3) No one questions Kiffin’s HC ability
4) Ole Miss needs to prove it has staying power post-Kiffin

Considering ole Miss has zero chance to win a natty I think it’s lsu. LSU has the talent and coaching to win it all. Just have to get the offense to not turn it over.

This is literally the most important regular season game for Mississippi since 2003 vs. LSU. The answer is clearly Golding and the Rebels.

LSU. Kiffin has to prove leaving OM for LSU was right decision.
If LSU is going to be a playoff contender then they need this win.

LSU is now favored by 2.5. We were a 2.5 underdog earlier today.

Who cares who needs it more, at the end of the day we are LSU and they are Ole Miss. They have a good squad this year but in general we should expect to win this game most years.

I could easily see OM spiraling if they lose this game.
I could easily see LSU bounce back beat A&M and right the ship for Oct/Nov
It’s a really big game for both, but I think a loss is more devastating for OM

Vegas is baiting with that line.
The Vaught will be too much for Leavitt.
Chambliss Lacy Alexander and Odom plus Caneiro can win any shoot out.
But the game changer is LOS.
I’ve read your LG and RT suck.
Well they just so happen to be lined up across from Echoles and Franklin. Sunny P will spy temu Dart all game and rock him.
LSU will have to depend on Sam Leavitt throwing it. If denson and kite are back I don’t like LSU’s chances.

Denson and Kite, of course. Household names.

They start for the shite sandwich we’ve been trotting out there. Those two are the missing link.

Neither. If either lose this game and run the table it’s moot. Both still get in.

Ole Miss.
This is LSU v Alabama 2008. Inside, LSU fans had concerns their fears might come true. A former HC was about to lead a hated rival to greatness.
If LSU win those fears will manifest. Deep down they know Lane was the reason for greatness. They want Golding to be their guy…but they don’t really believe he is. An LSU win will reveal that.

Everyone will point and laugh at us if LSU loses. LSU will however bounce back quickly and forget. The future is bright for LSU.
However....if Ole Miss loses. It is going to be horrible for that program. They will be in complete panic mode.

Anyone that uses temu to describe things is a fricking dork.

Not against this LSU defense. The only chance Ole Miss has is winning the turnover battle and getting set up on short fields. If LSU takes care of the ball they win its that simple because Ole Miss wont be able to move the ball with much success.

That won't be proven or disproven this weekend.
We'll know 3-4 years from now.

100% Ole Miss. Their programs psyche depends on it.
If we win, especially if we win big, they will start a death spiral
