I was one of the few who always thought he was a great hire.

Can’t lie..... I thought it was a lazy, awful hire.

I'll admit, I thought it was a terrible hire. You are what your record says you are.

Glad I was wrong.

Lol easy to say that now

But if we’re being completely honest, it was initially tough to watch an incompetent AD handle that process and feel confident that landing on Les Miles’ D-Line coach (who had failed miserably at ole miss) was the solution to stopping our OFFENSIVE problems

It defied most logic at the time. I would even say people had strong reason to remain skeptical through Canada and Ensminger the first two years...

Thank goodness That incompetent AD was incompetent because if not we would be stuck with Fisher or Herman

I was happy because I knew we needed change and not just the coaches. We needed our culture back excitement, and recruiting so I really was excited for this to see where it went. I didnt want jimbo, but would of settled for the other dude in Texas ..SOOOO glad it worked out like it did! Geaux Tigers!

Les' offensive philosophy was a little nicked up.

Like many normal LSU people, I expected a 55-year old Orgeron, possessed to redeem himself, was an upgrade over our our 63-year-old model of stubborn complacency. And like many normal LSU people, I would have preferred our Athletic Director to have chosen Orgeron after a thoughtful, thorough, and professional hiring process befitting LSU.

Some times it’s better to be lucky than good

I was never a Herman fan but I do believe Jimbo would’ve done pretty well. All irrelevant now and in a good way, thankfully

I was preparing for the program to burn to the ground.

I wanted Jimbo bad.

In hindsight, I am a moron.

I wasn’t happy with it. And when we lost to Troy I figured he wouldn’t make it to 2020. Glad to be wrong
