Well how many of those other teams are SEC West champs? Maybe they need to do what LSU's doing.

This happens often up north. Freezing cold Gatorade or hot chocolate?
How about you email Harold Perkins and tell him your thoughts about elves and Mickey Mouse.
Whiny little snot nose bitch.

Screw off. For my sake I hope it was the right Hot Chocolate brand. I nationally sell a brand of hot chocolate, so they better be repping my stuff

So back when I played in leather helmet days, we weren't allowed water at all during practice, even in 100 degree plus 2 a days. For some reason, coaches then thought it made you better, tougher, stronger or whatever.
Finally, decades later, science and nutrition kicked in and we decided hydration was important for health and performance.
So, if hot chocolate, or gatorade, or broccoli or grape nuts works, who gives a shite.
Time evolves old buddy.

I don’t understand. What’s wrong with giving the players options? I doubt they forced them to drink it.

LSU does whatever the heck it wants. The way it should be. "Because of cacao's high magnesium content, it is a great food for athletes! Magnesium is the key to muscle and nerve function, including keeping the heart rhythm steady."Health Benefits of Cacao Powder - WebMD"
Don't be pussies. LSU knows their stuff.

You think chocolate milk, or milk in general is a good drink DURING activity?

"Chocolate milk is recommended as a recovery drink after exercise so when it's cold they heat it up. What's the problem?"
The only problem is pussies that complained or made fun of this. Stated another way, those who complained do not know very much about recovery.

Topics like these are great to me. When the rant only has these insignificant things to complain about the team is definitely on the right track.

We now have people arguing for our players to drink milk during games.

I’m simply wondering why we treat cool weather so much differently than anyone else and make it such an issue from a training staff perspective
Its not an issue from a training perspective, its an issue from an ESPN perspective.
Like all of their shitty narratives, they chose in a pre-production meeting on Friday to run with the ice bowl as a narrative and that, along with "a full inch of snow in SEC country" fit their narrative.

30 something degrees is pretty damn cold when you’re in a football uniform. Especially if you’re one of the players who doesn’t play much or at all.

The chicken broth was because the flu was going through the team and also who the hell cares whatever it takes to win idc what they have on the sideline
Was this confirmed? There were times yesterday that I was curious if some of our guys were playing sick and it is that time of year.

If you're using Swiss Miss packets it's basically sugar and water.

But we have two people I am talking to who are saying drinking actual milk during a game would be smart

Do you think Brian Kelly had never done that before yesterday, despite basically always being a head coach at a cold weather school?
