re: Who is the Mickey Mouse on the training staff that is terrified of cool weather?

Maybe bc this team practices and plays it’s home games in one of the hottest most humid environments in the country.
I realize guys come from all over the country but your body adapts to the climate you’re in. We’re not the only team that seeks to stay warm in cold environments

125 teams in div 1 football and probably 110 of them are further north than us? We ain’t about that cold shite man.

35-40 degrees without rain or gale winds isn’t that cold for sports.

Compare the labels between a typical hot cocoa mix and sports drink such as powerade and gatorade, and many wouuld be quite surprised how similar they are by weight with regards to macro nutrients (particularly sugars). I am not sure how much "real milk" is a part of these cocoa flavored packets. Dairy typically requires more energy to digest, and most probably wouldn't consume it during competition (this is an over simplification, but fits with my point), but I have a feeling what hot "cocoa" was there was to simply provide a hot liquid that is not taste averse for the kids on the sideline (most are 18-21 year old kids, not 35 year grizzled adults).
I don't care one way or the other, but I'm almost certain that this training staff including the nutrition peeps doesn't do anything that doesn't have some shred of data or experience based reasoning behind it, and I would be surprised if a cold weather coach like BK didn't put his stamp on it.
Well known that hot coffee is a staple of MLB dugouts and bullpens in cold weather games.

When I played for the Chargers, we often had hot beverages on the sideline when we were playing in temps below 40-45 degrees. I didn't play much, but the guys who did said a few sips of broth was better than Gatorade for replenishing various electrolytes/minerals. Some of them even asked for it in warm weather games but never got it.

Only one team made it a “big deal” and had hot chocolate like they were Santa Claus and his merry little elves. And that was lsu

I have watched, I would say, over 150 games the last 10 years or so where the temperature is below 40.
This is a hilarious claim.

Why are you worried about what they have and drink on the sidelines? Why should it matter to you or anybody else what they serve the team and who got served?
The way that they're play they could have sushi bar and people handing out wine and cheese over there and I wouldn't give a shite.
