Growing up, I always thought Ole Miss was our craziest game. It always seemed to come down to the wire, when we should've won handily. I remember a State fan in the Croome era that said, we know we suck, but Ole miss could be 0-12 and still tell you why the deserve a title shot.

Today, I'd say Alabama, Auburn or Florida.

The biggest game on the schedule for me is Alabama every year.

LSU, at least right now, doesn't have a rivalry game. Everybody gets up for LSU but none of our opponents would consider LSU to be their biggest rivalry game. Tulane a long time ago was a rivalry game.

Depends who you ask. HIstorically, it's probably Ole Miss. But when you think of the variables of a rivalry, it may be UF. But both Auburn and Alabama matchups have some of the variables needed for a rivalry.

1) Competitiveness- this series has gone back and forth since the late 90's. Reason why Alabama is not considered a rivalry because of 2011-2018. (UF barely over Auburn)
2) Championship Level Games- More often than not, one if not both teams are involved in the SEC and possibly title chase. (Alabama, UF and Auburn)
3) Physicality of Matchup- Hard to measure specifically but I feel the UF game is very physical and there are many examples of trash talk between both squads. (UF/Alabama)
4) Fanbases- LSU hates UF fans and vice versa. This variable exists between a lot of SEC fanbases but it is a needed requirement for a rivalry. (Auburn, UF, Alabama)
5) Magical Moments- The UF game has simply never disappointed. Fake field goals, tebow jump TD, Brad Wing TD, among many others. Auburn has had their share of moments as well.

Florida is our biggest rival by a hair over Auburn. To me, another characteristic is who their rivals are and Auburn already has Alabama and honestly Georgia. UF does have Georgia, Tennessee and FSU but those last two have subsided over the last decade.

A dead horse. But let’s do it again.

Right now in 2020: Bama, Florida, A&M, Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas. (In that order)

All time: Ole Miss, Florida, Bama, Arkansas, Auburn.

Auburn is a division rival but it’s not like a deep hatred rivalry. It’s just an on the field rivalry because the games are always such barn burners (pun intended). I think both fan bases know both teams are good and it’s not an ugly thing. We both have a mutual hatred for the tide. I’m pretty neutral about State out of all west teams. Getting neutral about Arkansas too out of pity.

Florida is right up there. At least when we lose to Florida it’s because they have a talented team. Ole Miss will never have a more talented roster than LSU. Period.

When LSU and Alabama each stop taking two weeks to prepare for their game every year, which is always an outright war, then I'll consider another team LSU's biggest rival, but for right now, the nation and the fans of football, THIS is the biggest game of the year, year in and year out, over the last 15 years or so. It decides the SEC West champion, the SEC Championship and has national playoff/championship implications. Almost every year.

Growing up in the 60's and 70's it was Ole Miss cause we couldn't beat the bear and Ole Miss had some pretty salty teams. Then Auburn in the 80's and 90's because Alabama went into a funk after the bear died. Auburn is still a big rivalry but Florida has taken a foot hold due Steve Spurrier and the hurricane bull shite. But since Saban went to Alabama, it's Alabama.

Historically speaking, Tulane was our primary rival. They are the only rival we ever had for whom we were their main rival. In the 1960s and 70s, it was Ole Miss, but their biggest rival was Miss. St. Now it is Alabama, but their biggest rival is Auburn. Right now, we are not anyone's main rival.

It kinda depends on when you were born....older people say tulane or ole miss....younger people go with bama florida or auburn...alums in the houston area go with a&m....people who are stupid and know nothing about football say state or army
The number one thing that all these schools like about playing the tigers at home is friday night on bourbon street and tailgating in the shadows of tiger stadium...some dont even make it inside too the game...
