It's hard to rank the Les Miles era guys because of the style of offense and the lackluster QB play we had during several of those years. I think Jarvis and OBJ would be higher on the list had they not played under Miles. Same could probably be said for Rueben Randall, Early Doucet and DJ Chark.

Chase, Nabors, OBJ are my top 3 in any order.

It amazes me how many SUPER receivers LSU has had even when we had below average QB's.

KennabraTiger: You must've missed all those drops in 2007

Emotional response. Go look at all the receiving stats. LaFell is a usual suspect around the top of them all.

I have wondered if Josh Reed is actually "best", but for the long ball, i would go with Chase, for acrobatic/ impossible catches i like OBJ, for clutch catches in traffic, Wendell Davis, for late developing plays, Jefferson, etc.

I don't remember anyone being "that guy" quite like Josh Reed was. Might have been my age at the time but he was the DUDE.

Same for me. I'm 44. His performance at Alabama that one game was legendary. 20+- catches for 225+ yards. Insane.

Wendell Davis and Eric Martin caught everything that was thrown within 10 yards of them. But that was a different time.

Don't know if he was the "best" but my all-time favorite was Wendell Davis

4 pages in and no Malachi Dupre

Give him a Burrow or JD5 and he gets better numbers than Chase/JJ/Malik

Eric Martin & Josh Reed - both unbelievable after the catch. I think they were both RB's when they came into the program.

In the 07 Auburn game there was one play where lafell was as wide open as anyone can get. I was at the stadium but I’d imagine that he was the only one on screen on the broadcast. LaFell bobbles the ball and flips it so high in the air that the Auburn DB caught up and picked it off.

Agreed.

It would've been a lot of fun to have seen them play with Joe or Jayden at QB.

Josh Reed had 2 great years . Obviously chase, Jett’s and Malik had great seasons . But Reed had the best 2 years .
