Go to the Sky box, if their wearing a sweater hung over their shoulders, sleeves draped in front. That's them.

I do not think we have anyone like T Boone (btw his donation ended up costing the school tens of millions when his hedge fund went bad), knight etc...but TAF lists all the people who have endowed scholarships...and they are linked here

Toni and Emmet Stephenson dwarf all others.

Academic donors give much more than athletic donors.

The Pennington gift was to the LSU system, not LSU proper.

Generally speaking, LSU doesn't have any "bigtime" donors compared to other schools. Nothing like a at T. Boone Pickens or a George Lucas. They aren't the type to give $100 million and start running the place.

The largest single gift to LSU proper was $25 million.

Corporations rarely give more than a couple million at a time and their gifts are loaded with demands.

Individuals are LSUs best donors.

I would say Lod Cook, The Penningtons, The Lawtons, The Lemoines in Lafy while Saban was coaching, Richard Gill. Zuschlag has to be up there along with the Adam Sturlease family. Don Daigle probably gives a good bit being VP of refining for Exxon mobil

I would also add that Exxon is a big indirect donor due to their matching plan with employee contributions....

they usually average around $1.4-1.8 million in employee donations. Not bad

Taylor's widow, Phyllis, is a Tulane law school grad, and I think UL-L for undergrad. I don't know if she has continued to be generous to LSU since his passing in 2004 (of course, I am on record that the Taylor family has given more than enough to be considered extremely generous over the years both to the children of Louisiana, as well as LSU). Ms. Taylor's wealth has been estimated as high as $1.6 billion (with a "b"), and the fact she is not currently on the Forbes list, despite having been listed in the past, is evidence of generally generous habits - based on the Taylor family generosity.

Scotty Moran and a handful of N LA families (Andersons, Samples, Friersons, Dupres) pretty much funded the recent facelift/champions plaza for Tiger Stadium. Scotty Moran also used to own the property alongside I-49 near Shreveport that has the LSU flag and banners up, but I was told recently sold it.

All the Samples I know are way too highfalutin for LSU. Of the others you named, only Anderson gives enough to have stuff named after him.

Other big names:
James C. Flores
William Rucks IV

... and a whole bunch of other Big Leaguers you've never heard of. Just like the rest of the SEC. Having 500 guys with $100MM+ who like your team provides a lot more stability than one guy with $5BB. Once T-Boone is gone, what happens to Okie State?
