Probably LSU's best win was either Wake Forest (they seem to have a voodoo curse on the Demon Deacons...beat them last year also) or maybe the 1st A&M game. But as I stated in another post, that is the most damning aspect about McMahon. He simply doesn't pull upsets and he is the underdog a hell of a lot. Look around NCAA basketball and even bad teams normally pull upsets occasionally. LSU doesn't

Even at home.

Florida (somehow with only a second year coach) just pounded Auburn by 16 (and it wasn’t that close) who just pounded this Alabama team by 18.

LSU on the other hand just let Alabama score the most points they’ve ever scored in a road game…IN THE HISTORY OF THEIR PROGRAM!

That was pretty clear from the introductory press conference. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a coach look so nervous and overwhelmed. Go find that thread on here. I wasn’t alone

I mean Dayton would’ve been a big one & there was another league matchup we lost on an in & out 3 at the buzzer, so it’s not like we couldn’t have or won’t upset someone this year.

You mean the game where they blew a 15 point lead? Of course, admittedly, that’s a pessimistic way of looking at things. LSU is 2-0 in moral victories in games vs Dayton and Kansas State (last season)

If everything holds, next year’s roster is pacing to turn a corner… will be very interesting to watch

How?

We are going to lose our top 3 scorers and 2 rotational players and right now we have 2 incoming recruits. He better clean up in the portal

Honestly, I couldn’t care less if people think he’s a good dude. He’s not my friend, and I don’t know him personally. I’m also not going to knight for the guy as a coach either. All I know is last year we had one of the worst teams I’ve seen in my life at lsu, this years team is better but clearly can’t compete with elite level talent ( you pretty much could only go up from last year). I think our sophomore and freshman talent is pretty damn good, but there aren’t enough of them to have a contender in conference next year without some players from the portal. Which has been a mixed bag thus far.

Mmmmm I agree to a certain extent. I just don’t see no improvement or help coming anytime soon. I say we let Woodward do what he does best and hunt the big boys . See who we can pull then hope we can get some transfers

I've always been critical of his in game coaching. He is a decent/good recruiter.. but his roster construction, lineups, and rotations are just flat out bad.

Bad in game coach, bad adjustments, bad flow, etc. So many examples of this

Would have to see him with an SEC Talent laden team with experience playing together for at least a season before making an educated assessment. All I’m seeing right now is a team with no consistency whatsoever.

Talent wise we're good enough to finish 9-9 or even better in the SEC. I think if you watch teams at the very top like Bama, Auburn, Kentucky, and Tennessee and say we have just as good if not better talent/skill with our players you're just blind, ignorant, or both. That being said, talent is NOT an excuse, this team talent/skill wise FLOOR IS THE NIT. CEILING IS NCAAT.

My issues with McMahon aren't related to our roster being "under talented". I do think we'll have our best team talent wise next year and if we don't make the NCAAT or a deep NIT run with that team it's time to pull the plug on tAdmiral.

Baker just went for 22 in a half vs Bama

And he did frick all the second half..

why do you think that is? Genuine question, not trying to be a dick

For me, it's because he got overambitious, Bama made adjustments, and he got shut out.

Buddy we would lose by 20 @michigan and Vcu lol.

Michigan is 8-16, no we wouldn't. VCU was a good win for McNeese. So was the win against Mississippi University for Women. Comparing McNeese's schedule to the SEC is ridiculous.

Two of those three are Baker and Cook. Not a guarantee Cook moves on, but a blessing in disguise if he does.

Cook is a PG who doesn’t play like a PG, just wants to score & doesn’t fit our offense. Baker is a C who doesn’t play like a C. Can only score & gives you nothing else.

Replacing them with a true PG + a physical C is going to be an upgrade. Bet on it. We have zero physicality inside right now & those two dudes are really not complementary players to each other.

Only real losses would be Wright and Fountain. Chest should be at least as good a rebounder as Fountain & an upgrade otherwise. Ward already has the potential to compete with Wright’s scoring output in a better run offense… which we should be with Givens at point. Add miller to the mix & you really only need one solid transfer at that point.

Now, all of this is speculative sure — but I would be shocked if the ‘25 squad is not significantly better than what we are working with this year.

College of Biblical Studies, Champion Christian, REALLY keystone wins for tPear and McNeese.

You know when a team doesn't even have a logo on ESPN they're a real challenge.

That’s pretty common for low majors to play D3 schools to get home games.

Keep laughing in March when McNeese is still playing and MM is not.

What was his best season at Murray State and was Morant on that team?

Hate to say it but I think will wade had 1 returning player at McNeese state

No idea but I do know he only needed to recruit Sunbelt-level talent to dominate the Southland conference and considering no one was talking about possible sanctions coming I think succeeding at McNeese is a bit different than at LSU.

I know, I was joking. You guy's take Wade's dick better than you do jokes about his program.

I've made it quite clear before I expect McNeese to win their conference tournament and make the NCAAT. And I'll again reiterate I am not a MM fan.
