Wade.

Canada is overhyped to me. Doubt our passing game improves much under him.

Dude we piss ourselves if LSU passes for over 200 yards in a game. I feel pretty confident he's going to at least give us an offense that doesn't resemble the 60s

Wade

I have no faith in jet sweeps working against good SEC teams.

I just love how all of a sudden everyone is a roundball fan? Come on kids, LSU is and always was and will be a football school first. I live in the Richmond, VA area so I know what Wade will do at LSU, but football is KING.

No one really gives a shite about basketball when compared to football

Very sad, but probably true.

Like many old farts around here,

I long for the days of Rudy Macklin, "Astronaut" Scales, Greg "Cookieman" Cook and, of course, Ethan EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Martin.

And Willie "the Jet" Sims who's still playing, btw..

Basketball meant something and packed the P-Mac

They're different. With Canada, you're looking for someone to take a very successful program and elevate it a few notches. If the team was 20% better on offense last year, they would've been in the playoffs. Canada individually it's not as much of a difference maker for the program.

With Wade, you're looking for someone to build everything from the ground up. Offense, defense, recruiting, facilities, etc. Basketball has a long way to go so there will be more milestones to be excited about. People are excited he's getting four-star recruits. Getting four-stars in football is common and expected. It will be exciting if they make the top 25. It will be exciting if they beat a #16 team, do well in the SEC tourney, get into the NCAAs.

Football season officially starts less than a week away, so Canada currently has me more excited.

LSU has demonstrated in the past that fans will show up for exciting and winning basketball.

here's hoping.

Our passing game improved immediately after Miles was fired.

That is a tough one.
Coach O will win b/c he has matured & learned how to delegate. Per capita La has the best players in the United States.
So LSU will keep winning in football.
LSU basketball is also a a sleeping giant. WW will keep all these top flight players in state. If we hold onto WW we will win at 2 national championships in the next 10 years.

I was in grade school when willie was our 6th man, and I'm 47 now,
so I was taken aback a bit!

AT LSU it is Football, Baseball, and then Basketball. This isn't North Carolina or Kentucky where roundball is KING.

Coach Wade with the quickness is going to show people like you where baseball truly ranks in the pecking order. If both programs are successful hoops EASILY outpaces baseball in popularity at LSU and ANY school.
