You said he’d get drafted in the 2nd round!!! He might get drafted, but will be a flier as a late round pick. He will likely still come back to LSU because

Is Floyd projected as a middle reliever in the majors? No knock on him but he struggles to go 6 innings in college ball

Floyd is projected and will be drafted as starter. Starting pitchers only go through the order twice anyway. I think he’ll be a very good 4th or 5th starter in the majors too.

Yeah, because his projected power is higher than crews. I suppose along with his speed. I see Langford as a better power hitter, but crews as a better all around ball player.

I could see that.
Floyd reminds me a lot of Joe Ryan.

Is ESPN doing that as a mock draft or a ranking of best prospects?

You are obviously very ignorant. If Taylor doesn't get picked in the first few rounds it is because he told teams he is coming back to LSU. If his goal is to get drafted and leave he will likely go in the first three rounds.

You are replying to someone talking about getting drafted in rounds 10-20. Taylor may very well get drafted in rounds 10-20, but it'll be for the reasons I said above. He would have to tell people he's coming back to school. They take a late round flyer on him, and hope they have pool money saved up and he decides to take it.

You are very far off on Taylor, and the MLB draft.

Will not back at LSU. He should be drafted in the top 5 rounds.

Probably doesn't play baseball again, along with Beloso. Unless he wants to try to get a $150k bonus check and ride it out for a year to see how it goes.

Crews and Skenes go in the top 3 picks of course.

Tre and Grant Taylor in the 3rd

Christian Little goes somewhere after round 10

Jordan Thompson around 13

Garrett Edwards after JT maybe round 15

Then Dugas, Jobert, and Money all around 15 or a little later…but not 18 or 20.

Morgan yes. Taylor, if he wants to.

Probably sooner.

Way earlier.

18 or 20 is a little later than 15. Dugas and money might go undrafted. Jobert may or may not.

Milazzo will get drafted. Cooper will get drafted. Travinski may also get drafted.

Seriously? That would surprise me a lot.

Really hope Taylor and Edwards decide they want to continue the amazing momentum this program has created

As for the #1 pick, any team that passes on Skenes should just go ahead and fold up shop. The man is the most big league ready, bust-proof prospect in history.

Also are y’all being sarcastic about Little? I love his enthusiasm and hip-thrusting skills but he’s not even a D1 quality pitcher.

Hate to break it to you but he will be drafted by the 3rd round. Taylor coming back to LSU depends whether he will settle right under $1M or if he feels he can up his value to a top pick in a season.

Teams don't want to deal with Boras which is one reason why they may have moved him up the to #1 since he has a different agent. He is pumping up Crews and Skenes for a huge bonus which Pittsburgh being cheap may not want to pay. Nationals need pitching bad so Skenes should be a no brainer if they are willing to shell out the money. I am also seeing that HS player in other mocks getting picked 1st due to this.

I think Skenes goes 1st and Crews 2nd. There’s some noise that Crews wants 10 Million. There’s history of the Pirates not wanting to pay over slot value to sign the later picks. The Nationals history says they will spend the money. If the Pirates want a position player then they may draft Langford or a high schooler.

Not surprising given how much they had a narrative to pump him up almost every time Skenes and Crews were talked about, even when LSU wasn’t playing UF.

Most college and MLB pitchers struggle to go 6. I don’t get your point.
