Who are you excited to watch this baseball season?

Really looking forward to watching Dugas swing it. In off season scrimmages he continuously crushes the baseball and we're ready to see him put it together during the season. Also Hill's electric stuff to lead our staff.
Don't sleep on Safford at 3B... gritty local kid with pop and plus glove

Jaden Hill, Tre Morgan, and Dylan Crews.

I'd love to see Drew Bianco come out of his shell and shine during the regular season. I think he was compared to football's Richard Murphy on the radio last week. The player who shines in practice every spring/fall but disappears when the real games start.
Bianco is an older player now and is clearly one of this team's leaders. It's hard to be a true leader when you're not on the field.

I'm still in awe of Milazzo's arm. Gonna be nice seeing behind home plate again. Too bad it's just one more season.

Offensively Crews and Doughty.
Doughty was really hitting his stride last year when the season got cut short and Crews is going to be a beast

As far as hitters go: Dugas. I think he's about to break out big. And really all of the freshman, but specifically Drost.
Pitchers: Hill and Coleman.

Dylan Crews and Ty Floyd.
Those type guys don't make it to college.

I was excited last baseball season. Then the season started and was glad it was cut short. My expectations have been tempered.

I’m just ready for baseball

Tre Morgan - I coached him in middle school football.
Funny story: given he’s now a D1 athlete, he was obviously one of our best players. He was one of 3 black kids on this particular team and the HC wanted to “sneak” him onto the punt team to run a fake. Very predictably, we didn’t fool anyone as they noticed the tanned kid that’s been killing them all game immediately and blew up the fake.

Interesting. So you are glad that the season was cut short because you created higher expectations for the beginning of last season and you were let down? That’s fairly weak.

I’m excited to see the teams approach at the plate with hitting coach Eddie Smith. With a full year to work with the players and some new talented bats arriving I hope this season the LSU hitters can compete with some very competitive SEC pitchers.
Will they be aggressive at the plate, work counts or play small ball?
