re: While Saban is great, he has started to ruin the fun/excitement of college game

OSU beat ALA in 2014 with a 3rd string QB by by running them side to side
And by the simple fact that the Alabama OC for some strange reason only ran Derrick Henry ten times in the entire game. OSU had no answer to Henry. Had he ran it 25 to 30 times, Alabama would have won that game. (Of course, I was THRILLED that they didn't run him that much).

Clemson beat them with Tempo and Venables Defense.
And DeShaun Watson played an incredible game.

You dont know what you’re fricking talking about. Saban was leaving and wasnt anything Skip could do. Every time Saban told Huizenga no he upped the offer. He finally said yes when they offered Terri 800K to decorate the new home in Miami.
People who think LSU could have won a bidding war with Wayne Huizenga back then are deluding themselves. And Saban was hell-bent at that time to giving the NFL a try as a HC. There was little Skip could have done to keep Saban here.

You have guys at Bama that can play right now for any team in the country gonna sit and wait 2 yrs or more because they love Bama and Nick Saban, BS!!!!!! I don’t believe that for a second
I don't either. This business that they are doing this out of "love for Nick Saban" is total crap. They are being taken care of.

not hoping for this, but... a couple key injuries would derail some of it... also, Saban plays the best talent he has, no matter classification, and will sit previous starters if there is someone better (a la Hurts!),and has depth at all positions

It’s an incredible defeatist feeling. If someone manages to beat them they are still in the playoffs. Why even try? Bama is an undefeatable cyborg.

A normal person his age and with his wealth would have other things in life to enjoy besides working their asses off 7 days a week and dealing with a bunch of high ego 18-22 year olds day after day after day. The S.O.B. looks miserable all the damn time, and that is the honest truth.

Yeah I’m pretty checked out due to this and same old garbage offensive woes on our side

As someone who was in college at Alabama with 3 head coaches during my 4 years and not a single winning season, I say deal with it rather than make excuses and reasoning it’s time for a change because you’re team isn’t winning.

Bama is really good; still very fresh from a weak schedule.
Clemson is the only team with a shot.

He was a failure in the NFL as a HC, that's why he picked up his ball and bailed on the Dolphins (after going 6-10 his last season) like an angry little child when the game was too tough for him. Again, on a level playing field, Saban is very human regarding his coaching abilities. Now he has a rigged game in college where he simply hogs all the best talent out there (by some way or another). He wins in college by his huge talent advantage, and that's a fact.

Saban took a Miami team that was miserable for years to the playoffs
That is simply a bald-faced lie. He never took the Dolphins to the playoffs.

Clemson has as good or better QB now, and a better defensive front, and is as good in every other unit. If Bama makes it that far (State will be physical, Auburn will be tough, UGA will be a slobbernocker) this Clemson/Bama will be a toss up.

He looked overjoyed last night. But then that's just my opinion.

If Saban had won 3 or 4 Nattys at LSU the NCAA would have found a reason to give us the death penalty.

Then you haven't watched the little bastard for real the last 18 years or so. He is one angry little a-hole.
