Well we’re not 2nd either. Any steps taken to ensure competitive balance in CFB would hurt LSU just as much.

This is an ignorant statement.

Only because he is doing it at another school in the SEC.

If he was at LSU we would love it.

If he was doing it in the big 10 or pac 12, we would not care so much at all

This is what happens when they stack 8 straight #1 classes with one of the best coaches in history. Will keep happening unless something is done about the recruiting.

I still think Alabama has been getting away with recruiting violations. A tip of the iceberg was revealed by the Yahoo Sports investigative piece that was done a few years ago and totally ignored by the NCAA and SEC. I don't care how good someone is at recruiting, 7 or 8 straight #1 recruiting classes obtained fairly and within the rules is just not credible. But the SEC and NCAA doesn't seem to care enough to seriously take a real look behind the scenes at Alabama.

Except the Tahd student section which is empty, they may be Bama students but they’re not that stupid.

What will stop Bama besides Saban retiring? And if they get Dabo, how long does this go on?

That's the nightmare scenario for me...whether it be Dabo or some other hot coach of the day, Alabama now has the resources to get the best coach money can buy. I'm not even sure Saban's retirement will be the promised land we are all banking on.

I think if the NCAA honestly wanted to enforce more parity, they could do something like X number of scholarship reductions for any team that wins a title. I don’t know what the right number would be. Maybe 3 less scholarships for the year following a title. The logic is similar to sending Super Bowl winners to the back of the line for draft picks. I think Bama would have to win like 10 titles in a row for the NCAA to actually consider something like this.

This is what you think about when you drink gasoline.

If the NCAA had such an idiotic policy back in 2003 you would not have won in 2007.

ive found myself watching less and less college games in recent times because it's the same thing over and over again

Same with me. I will probably watch LSU's remaining games, but I seriously doubt I watch the SEC title game this year or the CFP. We all know what the results will be. It's a foregone conclusion, so why torture myself by watching that shite?

Unfortunately, Saban seems determined to coach well into his seventies, so I guess I can look forward to enjoying college football again when I'm about 70 years old.

You'd think at his age, he'd want to finally retire like a normal person so he and his wife could truly enjoy their vast wealth, but no, he seems hell-bent on coaching until he's 100.

You don't think he truly enjoys beating the snot out of LSU. That 29-0 beatdown last night actually made him a year younger.

although many people think Lil Nickki is some GOD of sort he’s only as good as he is bc of the talent disparity between Bama and the rest of college football

This^^^^^ Saban wins strictly on a huge talent disparity. Put him in an arena with a level playing field (like the NFL) and he's very human regarding his coaching abilities.

This^^^^

Even when they get beat, the committee just says,"Oh well, we all know they are the best team out there, so their loss means nothing to us."

More crap that Cajuns believe. Saban took a Miami team that was miserable for years to the playoffs. If he could have gotten Drew Brees he would likely have a Super Bowl ring. The guy knows how to win championships. That's what you imbeciles fail to understand.

Maybe, but nowhere near the scale of what Alabama's getting away with. If we were doing what Bama's been doing, I guess we'd have the #1 recruiting class year after year too.

Clemson has as good or better QB now, and a better defensive front, and is as good in every other unit. If Bama makes it that far (State will be physical, Auburn will be tough, UGA will be a slobbernocker) this Clemson/Bama will be a toss up.

It's not his fault.
He recruits better than anyone else. He produces championships. He sends players to the NFL.
He is the master of organization and attention to detail.
We should be so luck if it were said that LSU was ruining the college game.
Instead folks say that we are setting offensive football back 30 years.

Saban does not win ONLY because he has the best talent although that is a huge part of it. He wins because he’s also the best coach in the history of college football, has the best process and systems, and of course, has the best talent. Nobody would be saying shite if he was still doing this at LSU. He has consistent and doing whatever is takes to stay excellent. Most people can’t perform to this level.

If excellence was easier at least one of his many former assistants would have copied his system and beaten him in a game by now.
