How have we done against that QB this season?

3 top running QBs are

Gutierrez (Navy QB)
Hellums (Army QB)
Hawkins Jr (WVU QB)

Nobody has been able to slow down Hawkins as he’s a true dual threat

Lance Guidry (Memphis DC) just held Hellums to his lowest rush total of the year.

You’re joking. Gave up 115 rush yds to Byrum Brown when they lost to Auburn

Probably because you were sleepy.

Seriously, though, I have a habit of opening multiple tabs of threads that interest me and going back to them. I know I should refresh and check to see what comments are made, but I often do not. Case in point.

He wouldn’t be my first choice, but he was in the building last year as a defensive analyst

he has a lot of rushing yards but he has 103 yards on 28 carrie’s vs Oklahoma State. 3.68 YOC isn’t great for a QB. Wasn’t good passing either.

I take it the OP is really asking about DT QBs?

To really answer that, I think you have to address talent disparities, matchups, and game ebb-n-flow.

Chavis was pretty good and one of his key points was speed. Put lots of speed on the field. LBs and DEs who could haul tail.

No DC is gonna be consistently great against true Dual Threat QBs. Look at the Vandy game last year. Blake Baker dialed up so many unblocked free rushers at Pavia and he still made them miss. He was sending unblocked DBs with good speed and they were still missing. Sometimes players just have to make plays.

At the end of the day, it comes down to how good of players you have on the field. Last year LSU didn’t have enough athleticism on defense overall to stop dual threat QBs. This year they do. Simple as that.

Yep.

#1 total D in the conference, only 3 teams better than us in the entire country who have all played schedules soft as Charmin and yet some fans still want to shite on Baker.

Att/Yards:
Chambliss: 9/2
Reed: 10/-13
Brown: 19/20

14 sacks against those 3 running QBs.

Who's doing it better?

Yes ole Lou Tepper was one of the nicest guys I ever met, just didn’t have enough time to implement that great plan lol.
