We lost to Tulane 48-7?
Yes, in the Dome.

I busted one of my Bass Drum heads in that game. (GBFTL) Still have the head; a great souvineer.

I used to be one of the notorious old school Tulane haters back then. The rivalry used to be intense.

I would imagine this place would of never recovered. Just straight burnt to the ground.
Dumb arse Curley could've run out the clock in the second half by just running the ball on every down, but he kept letting Amedee (OC Lynn) call dangerous low percentage passes the entire second half.

It was really to be an LSU fan in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Nothing quite like it.

I'm sure there are a few on here who remember that crape'.

Could you imagine the Curley talk? 94 Auburn would have been the cacophony.

a lot of good ones mentioned -- although some of the commentary about the games are woefully incorrect.

1988 Ohio State. Played them in our third game on ABC at the Horseshoe. LSU led 33-20 before Ohio State scored a TD to cut it to 33-27 with 1:55 left. We then ran a whopping 20 seconds off the clock and took a safety(Ohio State had blocked a punt and returned it for a TD in the 2nd) to make it 33-29. Ohio State ran the free kick back to the LSU 38 and scored a TD to win with :30 left. (had there been re-play its very likely Bobby Olive's "catch" would have been ruled a trap.)

Complete meldown. Even though LSU would go 8-3 and be SEC Co-champs its arguable that this was the start of Archer's demise.

That Tennesse play the old timers say cost LSU a national championship. Sometime around 1960

Which LSU loss would you wish was on the rant if tigerdroppings existed? For me other games would have been the 1997 Auburn game when herb tyler threw 2 first quarter interceptions and Cecil for over 230 against Auburn. Dinardo didn’t give him the ball on third and 1 to seal the game and we lost. The rant would have crucified him on that call. 1998 Alabama game we were up by 2 scores with 2 minutes. Bama scored, recovered onside kick, scored again and they win. Both touchdowns were off the fingertips of db Robert Davis. That game hurt me more then the Bama 2012 game because it was senior day and I thought we were finally going to beat Bama at home since 1979. I felt real bad for Kevin Faulk because he had a hell of a game but your boy wade richey missed like 3 field goals lol.
Coach DiNardo disliked Collins and clearly favored Faulk and it showed.

For me it’s the 1994 Jamie Howard game vs Auburn. I would have loved to have read the threads on here if the rant was around back then lol. As a kid I remember Richard condon threaten to kick Jamie’s arse on the radio lol.

I was on a first date for that game. Since the loss was obviously her fault, I never called her again.

Not a loss but it felt that way.
Late in the game, LSU had the ball
with a chance to win. On 4th down
Cholly Mac decided to kick a field
goal for the tie. (In those days
there was no overtime)
This game became a rallying cry
for the "Help Mac Pack" campaign.

Was that vs TAMU when Hallman punted down 5 with 2 minutes left and timeouts?

I was in high school at the time but I remember that game well. It was at the game. It was at Rice Stadium in Houston but the stadium was packed with LSU fans. After the game all you heard was people bitching about Charlie McClendon. It felt like Tiger Stadium.
