Miami Ohio in 86.

That loss by 9 points and a 2 pt loss to Ole Miss were the only regular season blemishes. One of the biggest WTF moments in LSU history.

Beginning of the end of the Dinardo era, and "In Tepper We Trust" proved a cruel catchphrase.

1997 Ole Miss game, specifically during the 2nd half.

What a kick in the nuts.

That 1997 ole miss game after we beat #1 Florida was my first oh no we suck again moment. I had a bad feeling about that game because I always heard we suck in day games at home and it was the Jefferson pilot game of the week lol.

There was no OT in college football in those days. We lost because the usually reliable David Browndyke missed a very makeable FG at the end.

I literally broke the wood chair I was sitting in after the last pick 6. Split it down the middle. Luckily my dad has a wood workshop. Just put it on the saw table. It was fixed the next time I was home. I make sure I sit in it whenever I go home.

Then, the next week, we lost at home to Ole Miss.....

We were around for that game.. although I don’t recall posting that night in the game thread. I wish I could find it.

I did find this sec game thread LINK /

Anyone have the tiger rant game thread for that? I imagine it’s gone.

That would have been as epic of a meltdown of any on TD just based on where we were as a program at the time.

The other would be the Ole Miss game that we lost a week after that amazing upset over Florida (1996 i think)

I remember DeepPurple getting banned for using racial slurs against JJ. Not sure if he ever got reinstated or not?

1999 season

Mississippi state crawl in the end zone
Alabama booty has to be a hero
Georgia was just a cruel way to lose cause it was a great play by defender.

That doesn’t even include the cigar game or Houston game.

Man 99 sucked lol

If was best to lose those games even in 1998 because dinardo would still be the coach and we would never got nick saban and no championship.

You are correct Richard kept dogging him and jamie called in saying he was going to kick his arse and Richard invited him up to the station but that was it.
