I just don’t really count him as an LSU player any more than I do, say, Tito Horford.

I agree with that. There’s a large sector of LSU fans that hold grudges. That’s fine, but I just don’t see any need to with Simmons. He’s not relevant enough and isn’t even really associated with LSU basketball.

You would think fans above a room iq temperature would not dislike LSU athletes, but it has to be Ryan Clark if we’re picking one.
I’ve never understood the Ben Simmons hate. It’s not his fault Johnny wasted that roster.

I actually like Albert Belle. I wish he and LSU could make amends.
Ryan Clark is not a good rep for LSU. Jayden has gotten off track and I am no longer a fan
Joey B was a great player at LSU but he seems a little cool on LSU sometimes so it is hard to figure out where his loyalties lie.

Collins Temple (11/8/52) may not be one of the most disliked, but he certainly has knocked himself off any top echelon of former LSU athletes.

All of them have one thing in common. They used LSU to get famous or into their league and then publicly said that it was all about them and LSU had nothing to do with it.

Don't follow the others and didn't pay enough attention to know what they did.
Once a Tiger, always a Tiger. Some of the above in OP need to put their egos aside. Paraphrasing what Lenny Fournette said, the brand is bigger than you.
As far as RC, everyone has a right to their opinions, right or wrong. He should work on filtering what he says. I totally get him saying all he ever wanted to be was accepted in Harvey, LA or wherever he is from. No one knows what he went through in his younger days. I just can't expend energy hating on people I have never met.

I felt bad for Johnny Jones on this one. He couldn't not take Simmons, but that dude absolutely was a cancer and a program wrecker.
