Sloan.

He’s getting paid 2.5M/yr here.
He’ll be making over $3 million after this year.

If he’s getting offered a HC job, he’s definitely getting 5-7.5M/yr
Where? Maybe some place would offer that, but I don’t think it would be a job he’d want.

Then you will all bitch because they didn’t hire a proven head coach
I’m sure plenty would for sure, but the hiring proven coaches route is a bigger gamble in my opinion.
Look at BK, he’s a proven coach. Took a 10 year 9.5MM deal to get him here, locking us in for a decade. Plus proven coaches are less likely to move and are up higher in age.
With Baker you could do a 4-5 year deal at 7.5MM and see if he turns you into a monster.

I am sure Baker is making good money at LSU. No really good program would hire him with zero head coaching experience, and that includes LSU.

Baker will be a HC in 2026

Where is he going? How do you know?

I would be concerned if Tulane became available, other than that I could see him holding out for a bigger HC job like Ole Miss if Lane left or possibly Kentucky. I don't see him leaving for a ULM/La Tech etc. but I could be wrong.

agreed, I've found myself on here less and less due to the lack of intelligent thinking. It's like all these people were raised without father's and have no emotional intelligence.

Baker makes as much as most all mid major HCs so someone in a P4 would have to make a move if it is just money.
Example, he makes as much as Tulane HC.

LSU has in their favor he wants to be here especially his wife so maybe they can raise his money and make them happy.

This is becoming a weekly thread, I swear it seems like LSU fans try to manifest bad things to happen to the team.
Considering how cutthroat the coaching game has become with NIL you'd better be sure you're ready to be a head coach and his wife is a local and loves BR.
A good coordinator doesn't necessarily make a good head coach. Venables is in the hot seat, him taking a head coaching job may have brought down two programs.

Do we even know he wants to be a head coach? With the money he makes, maybe he is happy just being a coordinator?

Baker is Kelly's lifeline as of right now. He's going to be fricked when he takes a head coaching job elsewhere. Baker has been like Aranda and is great for our program.
Some fool in another thread said yall tell the truth and aren't going overboard.
