As a follow-up, one positive spin on the situation is that O is keeping the HC seat warm for Aranda who wishes to have the position in a few years, but not quite yet. He wants to do his thing and gain experience while O takes the heat that comes with being a HC. I'm curious to read the terms of his agreement when it becomes public to see if certain provisions would support that interpretation.

However, this would be contrary to all the silly posts by the pro-O at any cost crowd that claim that Aranda "doesn't want to be a HC." I think that's unlikely or at least not accurately describing Aranda's aspirations.

It was known prior to his hiring by most he wasn't the answer for LSU, although there's a contingent that will get behind the coach for program's sake, etc.

The only reason to come to sites like this & 24/7 is to get a heads up on inside info & recruiting. The reason to stay away is the nega LSU/O guys. I understand their right to express their thoughts, but maybe the site mod should establish a Rant for them so they can feed off of each other & the rest of us could stay on positive things. I understand guys who have doubts about O & the direction of the program, but some of these guys should be kept away from sharp objects.
If he won the SEC & a National Champ, they would bitch that Bama still has more or A&M is coming after our band director or Florida just flipped our 3 star water boy, etc.

And we can say the same about you your support of the coach based primarily upon the fact that he is an native of Louisiana. The fact that you would think this administration will get it done is as equally entertaining. I support the program....I don’t necessarily have to view the coach as competent and certainly don’t lean on supporting him based upon the fact that he is from Louisiana.

I will agree that all of the arguing solves nothing at the end of the day. However, I would rather state a view of the programs prospects now versus say I told you so later.
