Not so even close. I would not even bother to put it in the running actually.

The HR by itself is likely not in the top. There are so many other moments that rank up there. However, it was perfect timing after the morons were "bringing 88 back" with the Kirk Gibson comments. The way it crushed all that crap was beautiful. For that alone, I would rank it higher than it would normally sit.

I'd rank it ahead of the baseball game where we hit 16 balls over 100mph, but behind the no-look pass Hernan Montenegro threw in that scrimmage, and well behind the UGA dad barking like a dog on TV right before the girls bb team scored 8 straight to win.

Great excitment last night but that home run isn't bumping any of LSU's top five sports moments. Had it been game three with LSU losing then it would be worthy of consideration but the game wasn't on the line and the series wasn't on the line when he hit it and that is a factor.

Doesn't diminish the home run in any way.

Game 3 of the CWS and it's a top 5 Homer. As it is now it's just a good walkoff in game 1 of a super, don't forget there's still a game left to even get to Omaha

Top 5 in ALL sports? You must be about 12. As for baseball, maybe top 10.

If it was hit tonight it would take a much higher ranking. Maybe he duplicates the hit tonight. I sure hope we don't need him to.

Top five? Which of these would you put it in front of?

Warren Morris walkoff to win Omaha.
Billy Canon's run
The final sack of Oklahoma's QB that secured the national championship
The over the shoulder fake field goal against Spurrier
The int for a TD against #1 Florida in 1997
The almost TD run in OT in the 9-6 game of the century

And these are just a few that came to mind. There are easily 20 more.

it was huge, but the game was tied and we were the home team. It wasn't quite that dire yet.

It was a nice moment for Chris, but I don't think even his parents would rank it that high.
