True..

With wakes rotation (3 wknd starters under 3 ERA).. they are the one team that wont have to throw backwards vs Skenes. Feel like they'd play us straight up in a 3 game set (finals).

Hopefully we are opposite and someone knocks them out for us.. but would be a hell of a final series

Arkansas lost 3 sec series and head to head with lsu

They do, but Arkansas has the West and the SEC Title.

Ark’s Q1: (20-10) and Record vs RPI 1-25: (14-6)

LSU’s Q1: (17-11) and Record vs RPI 1-25: (12-6)

Arkansas better numbers everywhere compared to LSU. Our only belt notch is the head to head.

Idk, I feel like the committee weighs metrics heavier.

Bracket 1 in Omaha:
1 v 4
5 v 8

Bracket 2:
2 v 7
3 v 6

Should be 1 vs 8; 4 vs. 5

The committee weighs different things differently every year it seems. One year its non-conference SOS, one year its road record, etc.

If LSU goes 0-2 in the SEC tournament they will be seeded 8.

If LSU wins it then number 3.

LSU: NC RPI (4), NC SoS (73), Road Record (12-5).

Ark: NC RPI (16), NC SoS (42), Road Record (7-9).

At this point I think it's Wake #1, then Arkansas, Florida, LSU and Stanford #2-5 in some order. Then Clemson, Vandy and someone else #6-8.

Things can change this week, but not much. These are my national seeds headed into conference tourneys from first thread asking this Q last night:

1. Wake Forest
2. Florida
3. Arkansas
4. LSU
5. Stanford
6. Clemson
7. Vanderbilt
8. Virginia

LSU will be in the 3-5 range. Hopefully 3 or 6 if they have a bad SECt so they can be opposite the CWS bracket of WF.

Hopefully getting to Sunday this wknd will get us off the 4 line.

Wednesday AM's game is huge. If we can win our first game in Hoover behind... whomever, im confident Skenes on Thursday can get his revenge vs the Hogs.

Then we'll be waiting in the drivers seat with Floyd ready to go on Saturday. If we can beat the Hogs again, even better. I think we can get to a 2 or 3 seed.

By the way.. im glad they dont still do the bracket flip in Hoover. That shite was dumb

If we scared of wake we got issues. I don’t see seeding as mattering. We have an elite front line game 1 guy, and TD Ameritrade plays into what Floyd does.

Not scared but objectively would like to avoid them until the finals. 3 legit SP and a shutdown closer with veteran lineup.

LSU’s road record may help us move up a spot or 2

LSU will be the 3 seed over Florida by virtue of a stronger SOS and SLIGHTLY (by one game) better record on the road.

EDT: The SEC tournament doesn’t matter at all. LSU’s seed is locked in right now.

Idk what will happen but we have a better chance in the super. Just win two. We don’t hVe to worry about a game 3.

You seen how the team has played in some games 2 & 3 late in the season?

Sure it matters, even more so in the Supers.

#3 is matched with the #14 National Seed.

#4 is matched with the #13 National Seed.

So your saying there is a difference between the 13th and 14th seed? There isnt so what does it matter if you get the 3 or 4 seed?

I think Arkansas moves down because of losing the series. I would bet Florida moves up.

Stanford will be #2, Florida, LSU, Arkansas will be 3-5 with Florida being #3.
