Let’s give the QB “controversy” talk a break. There really is no controversy, JD is the starter and though not great, he plays well enough to hold on to the job, so that is not changing.

Want to hear some predictions on where JD ends up going in the draft. How do we think NFL teams view him?

Unless Biden sparks WW3, he will not be drafted.

He got UDFA last year, and he's the exact same guy he was 12 months ago. I do wonder if someone tries to put him in another position since he has elite speed, though.

Backup or practice QB.

He's not that good.

Shouldn’t we let season play out?

I was told this offseason he was a ‘Hesiman candidate’ this year?

1.) That’s why it’s called a “prediction”, everything hasn’t played out completely yet.
2.) JD has 4 years of starting QB experience to look back on in which to base a “prediction” or “best guess” of his draft grade. So making a prediction now is not unreasonable at all.

Tough class to come out with, a lot of good qb’s coming out same time. But he will get drafted just not highly as he would have if it were a different year with less talent at that position.

Seems like he would go very late or be undrafted. However, he will likely perform pretty well at the combine and that might entice an organization to draft him earlier. Anyone being drafted after the third round has a pretty small chance of making a roster, but teams will be looking for potential. JD sure seems to have potential! I think he could be drafted in late 4th (based on potential) or go totally undrafted, which would make sense to me.
The fact that he has potential and he hasn’t gotten in any trouble could get his name called.

The Brandon Harris route is his best bet. BK will take care of him.
